Must Have Scissors for the Discerning Dressmaker
I have read a lot of great things about Gingher scissors and decided to find out for myself why they get such good press. I needed some micro-serrated scissors so here was my chance. These scissors are about the going price for the type, but when you hold them in your hand you can feel the quality in them. They have a lovely weight without being too heavy on the hand, they have a very smooth action - and when other reviewers say the "cut like a hot knife through butter" they're not kidding, these cut smoothly and without any effort or drag and with a very satisfying crisp, cutting sound. My edges are noticeably tidier and chiffon and silks really don't shift about with these scissors. They come with a sturdy plastic sheath to protect them when not in use, really good value for money. NOTE: There are two types of these available, one with a sharp point and these with a blunt point. I wasn't really sure what the benefits were of the two types so chose these because "no snag" is quite important with some of the ladder prone sheers I work with and I don't cut with my scissor tips. If you are looking for a great quality, satisfying pair of scissors, you won't be disappointed with these. Will now be adding the dressmaking shears and duckbills to my wishlist, I'm definitely a Gingher convert!

Quality item
Regardless of how it's listed here I actually purchased a pair of Gingher scissors, as shown in the photo. They have a lovely weight to them and cut through the fabric like a hot knife through butter. A clean cut and no snagging. Haven't tried slippery fabrics yet but don't anticipate any problems. A quality item and well worth the price. Bought my scissors from Stuff 4 Craft. Had a slight issue with delivery but customer service were really on the ball and quickly sorted out. Wouldn't hesitate to order goods from them again. Recommended.

Soo satisfying
Solid forged scissors of great quality. They have an incredibly satisfying cutting action and sound when snipping. Brought for my gf and she loves them. Her previous pair had silicon coated handles, which were tacky when closing together, small snips were difficult as they would stick together ever soo slightly. She much prefers these 😁

Best taylor's scissors I've ever had!
I love these scissors. They are extremely sharp and go through even the most challenging fabrics with ease. Very happy with them and I'd recommend these to anyone who is serious about making their own clothes!

Excellent Scissors
These scissors feel solid and are well balanced. The micro serrations really do grip fabric, especially lightweight and flimsy fabric, making accurate cutting so much more reliable. I wish I had found them years ago. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who has to have accuracy and reliability when working with fabric.

Not for me
These are not any sharper than the cheap £8 pair that I’ve got either I’ve been sent a blunt pair or this is not as good as people make out :( *sigh* I needed it for crafts today on my day off so guess I’m back to using my cheap pair

really good quality
These feel great to use, nice and heavy and make a very satisfying sound when they cut. The micro-serrated blade is meant to make it easier to cut slippy fine fabrics, I've tried it on some lining fabric and they definitely seemed better that normal shears but I've just been using them on all kinds of fabric and I like them lots.
