I play in a band, local band, cover band, we're good, but nothing spectacular or huge. I love the LIGHTS, am always looking for a way to add to the stage presence. This unit seemed too good to be true, but I've got to tell you, it's absolutely everything it's laid out to be. Is it easy to use? Well...define "easy." There's a learning curve, but any reasonably competent person should be able to get it going in a pleasing manner. This unit will display pix and video in a most impressive manner. It comes with a series of videos available for your use, some of which I've kept in the mix for sheer WOW effect. I haven't been able to determine what filetype these videos are? Knowing this, I might be able to create some of my own. As it is, I use some of the included vids, but mostly still pictures that I provide: And they look FANTASTIC. It's a four-bladed fan. It spins fast, and it's a potential hazard in close quarters: I walked into it from behind once, because it doesn't light up behind, got myself a nice lil bruise on the arm...but that seems like the price one pays for awesomeness. There are some onboard tools that enable you to create some kind of early-aughts video effects, with your content integrated therein? A little cheesy, but fun, and why the heck not. There is a micro SD card that holds the content, and the only way to add or subtract content is through the app, which you will need to get on your phone. You'll need to sync up with your wifi, which is inconvenient if you're looking to take it on the road like I do, BUT in wifiless situations it comes with a remote that's sufficient to get it running, skip through the content and not much else. Bottom line: I love this thing. Nobody's seen anything like it, and everybody's fascinated by it.

Hard to figure out. Very confusing, high quality tho and looks like fun.

Easy build, setup and install. Comes with windows 7/10/11 spindisplay software on the included SD card. The QR code in the manual is for iOS Apple devices but not Android. Search for "spindisplay android app" in google and it will take you to spindisplay website (Pakistan SW apparently) - at the bottom of the page is a link to the android apk. Once downloaded, install it (I did not have any warnings) and the app will ask you to update the software. Proceed with the update, connect to your fan wifi and re-start the spindisplay app. Note - connect to your fan over wifi first (mine was MS45-serial), then re-open spindisplay and it should automatically connect and read your sd card in the fan. If you choose the cloud option instead of local (default), reconnect to your internet wifi to download the desired free content. After you have downloaded what you want to your phone locally, reconnect to your fan wifi and you can upload the videos to your fan (you may need to close the app, reconnect to your fan, then reopen the app on your android phone, but i was able to switch between the wifi networks without closing spindisplay in my case) One other cool feature of the spindisplay app is you can mirror your phone screen over wifi - make sure to choose the center option as this 18in display is fairly low resolution (Maybe 100 horizontal lines or so) will be cloned to the fan - also, frame rate is about 15 fps and color is reduced to 16-bit color - or there about. Hey - its an LED fan so kinda impressed it could clone any of my phone screen at all. I reached out to the seller for support but ended up finding spindisplay for android so I beat them to the punch and thought I would share. I am on a Sony android 13 phone also so YMMV, but for Android, this was the only app I could find that would connect to this fan.

Shortly after I wrote below, it stopped working because the microchips were coming off the back and it no longer worked! POS! In order to use this hologram fan, you first need a safety lesson. It begins spinning immediately after plugging in. Secondly, you need a lesson in Chinese. When you download the app the default language is Chinese and will not revert to English until you sign in online and set the language. Third, forget about doing ANYTHING else with your phone while using this product. In order to upload a video to it, you need to turn off the wi-fi on your phone so that the fan will connect. Why? I have NEVER see a product require a dedicated connection to wi-fi through our phone. Furthermore, why not use Bluetooth? But wait, before you can even upload a video to the fan, you need to get the video on your phone. Using your computer to upload videos is not possible. After you go to that trouble, you have to upload the video to the fan using the app because it is not really compatible with multiple file formats. It actually ONLY reads videos with the .bin format. That is standard binary. In my case I do not have an app to convert directly to .bin formats then copy to the micro SD card immediately and enjoy the device. Why even have an SD card that can be removed if you can not load the SD card on another device? Also, when trying to convert files the app crashes A LOT! All of this causes you to sit and wait for many files to upload to your phone, or convert one, then turn on the wi-fi to get another to convert then have it crash. Also, many videos do not display an icon with the video preview and the app re-arranges icons so you have to search every time you want to upload a new video. This product needs to be withdrawn from sale and completed! It is a completely unfinished product! The ONLY reason I did not return it is because my husband tossed the box. I must say, the holographic effect is great once you get it running.

Surprisingly cool, was a bit concerned for the price. Power cord could be longer but other than that it's pretty cool. The dark windmill pattern in the video I attached can only be seen from the phone. In real life it is a clean crisp image
