Nice deck.
High quality, sturdy cards with a nice gold edging. Look of classic age even though they are new. Nice art work. Comes with a guide book if you need to learn how to read the cards. Come in a sturdy box. Seem thicker than standard playing cards. Should stand up to years of use.

Large & Super Flexible !
I cannot say enough about these cards. After I got used to tarot cards at all, (with little ones that came without a guidebook from a different vendor), I got these here. I’m so glad I did. The images are larger, clearer, & are beautiful gold-edged cards. A lot of the large, or full-sized cards like these are not easy to shuffle in the normal way, but these are somehow. They are the perfect balance between strength and flexibility for large, gold edged cards! I also like the fact that the images are the same as the original deck, but the coloring is slightly different, so that it appears in a less overly.. bright way, if you know what I mean. And it was not expensive for great quality like this. It also comes with a guidebook that will give you descriptions of what the cards can mean, and usually mean, and also gives you suggestions for tarot spreads (how to lay the cards out). Extremely happy with this purchase!

Solid but has flaws worth knowing about
These are nice thick cards; "standard-wide" size. It's a struggle finding the Waite-Smith deck borderless for some reason, and this is one of the better ones I've found—assuming you like the patina. The colors are obviously subdued, but I greatly prefer this over some of the obnoxiously bright (practically like it was colored with highlighter) and poorly colored versions out there. I like the backing well enough, and even though the gold edges seems almost out of place with this style, I don't mind it. The box is sturdy but nothing special and the lid is loose rather than snug. The book is nicely made and better written than many, but it's a more modern flavor of messaging than what Waite actually wrote. There are two issues that caused me to drop a star though: (1) The small issue I have is that the patina is literally copy-paste identically on every card—this is extremely lazy, but they probably would have gotten away with it if it weren't for the dark splotch in the upper left corner (my mind went to Scooby Doo too). But the real problem with this deck (2) is that they tried too hard to be creative and they moved the titles up from the very bottom (where they belong); I get it, it would look nice if the art had been designed around the idea, but it's not. So, what happens is that you pointlessly reveal dead space and you obscure important and interesting details in the art. That's a really, really bad trade-off. For example, on the Empress you get extra lines of wheat that look like a barcode, but on Death you can't even tell the king is in the foreground or see the crown at all. On the aces you lose most of the foreground. Basically, it adds nothing to any cards, but it takes things away from quite a few cards. Overall, I still like it, they're nice cards, they're borderless, and I personally like the patina. However I recommend the Mary Hanson-Roberts version (requires cutting in my opinion) so that you can really see all the little details and have a companion deck that is way more vibrant and clean looking (see pics), but loses some of Smith's original lines in the process.

One of the Best and Most Affordable Decks
I have purchased several decks off Amazon. This is the only one I didn't send back. The cards are thick with a matte finish. Vibrant colors! I was afraid that the gold edges would flake after use; however, there has been minimal chipping/flaking, and I use them a lot. Many other reviewers have stated that the card stock is not thick enough... I disagree! They are quite sturdy, yet flexible enough to shuffle like playing cards (after you warm them up a bit). I don't shuffle by spreading them all out. I think it is much more efficient and effective to shuffle like you would a set of playing cards, and these shuffle great! They don't crease or bend too much! Just enough for a good shuffle. These are great for beginners as they are the traditional images. The guidebook is (as many small guide books are) very superficial and give a very very elementary review of the card meanings. I do not hold any bad feelings for this against the publisher. There is only so much space to put information in such a small book in the box. My final recommendation is that you should get these cards! They are actually very great for the value!

Thick, high-quality cards
They look great, and they are printed on a thick, high-quality paper. Not flimsy at all. If you are going to take the time to clear and attune the deck (at the very least) and learn to use it, you'll want something like this the minimum. Better decks can be found on Etsy, but this is a well-made deck and won't break the bank.

Bag not given
I like the cards, but the tarot card pouch is not given. That is a disappointment, else this is a good purchase. The cards need a harder solid box. This is one of the lousy box. The cards deserved to be treated better.

Amazing for a “knock off”
Wow! One of my favourite decks. Can’t go wrong with a RWS deck. I love the traditional imagery and how this deck has the appearance of being vintage. I love the gilded edges. The card stock is thick and matte but not too thick so they still shuffle great. I love that they’re borderless so the images really standout. I felt a little guilty buying this at first at first knowing it is a knockoff. However, it looks like Waite/Coleman-Smith copyright or patent has expired and the artwork is now public domain. So it is fair game. Plus in sticking with the traditional RWS imagery, the PCS signature is still on all the cards which I appreciate. There are many many tarot and oracle knockoffs on Amazon so please be mindful and try to support the artist who does own the rights and deserves to be paid. Other notes: can’t say much for the booklet since I don’t use it but meanings seem short and concise. The box is good, I don’t love the brand name on it so I decorated it with stickers to make it my own :)
