I was looking for mats that would protect my car carpet from dirt and liquid spills. It's so easy to get dirt into a carpet and so difficult to get it out. Hence I was looking for a good quality rubber mat set with a lip to contain liquid from muddy boots or spilled drinks. I was overwhelmed by the available choice but settled on this 3W six piece set. It is premium priced but now they have arrived I can say they offer good value for money. They arrived a day earlier than forecast and I finished fitting them a few minutes ago. That I want to share my enthusiasm so quickly probably tells you all you want to know. They are installed in minutes. There are no fixings. The combination of perfect shape plus a spiked underside means you simply drop them into place. It also means they are quickly removed for cleaning. Both quality and fit are really good and the raised lip around all the mats is high enough to contain the most enthusiastic of spills. The front seat mats are particularly well designed. The mats are not floppy, they are moulded and hold their shape naturally. They have a built-in bend to suit the rise in the footwell. Likewise, the boot liner, which is enormous and makes you realise how big the Model Y boot is, is firm but flexible and has a fold line so you can lift the liner with ease when you wish to reach into the compartment below. Pros: - pretty much everything - excellent quality and superb fit - rubber thickness really protects - surrounding lip is high enough to trap liquids - live up to the "all weather" claim - clear instructions in good English (apart from the box being labelled "do not foldable" - ready to fit straight out of the box. No need for them to regain shape after transit. Con: - while front and back boot liners are plain black, the front car mats have a large white 3W logo on them. It's not the end of the world but I am really not a person who like ostensible logos, especially large poncy logos on plain T-shirts. Refer to my photos. OK, I confess that I'm not going to notice the logo after I first use the mats, and it is quite smart. All-in-all I had high expectations and these mats exceed them. My last mats were in use for fifteen years and these will easily do the same, car permitting.

I bought these for my Model Y after getting tired of the basic fabric mats getting ruined, especially with the constant wet weather we get here in Manchester. But honestly, the main reason I got them is that keeping a car clean with a 14-month-old baby is basically impossible, and these have been an absolute lifesaver. The fit on these is incredibly precise—there are no gaps, and the high raised edges easily contain all the mud, rainwater, and whatever snacks or drinks my little one decides to throw across the back seat. I am constantly chucking a dirty, wet pram into the boot, and the rear liner handles the muddy wheels without a single issue. Because of the textured TPE material, they feel much more premium than standard flat rubber mats, and it makes them incredibly easy to just wipe down or hover out crushed biscuits in seconds. The only small annoyance is that accessing the deep sub-trunk means you have to lift and untuck the heavy rear liner a bit, but that is a very small price to pay for the level of protection it offers. If you want full coverage without paying the massive premium for the official Tesla-branded mats, these are absolutely brilliant.
