Which side (which color) is the coarse? Thanks alot

The sharpening stone is of poor very corse quality. I chucked that in the bin. I use the honing guide with a Norton india stone instead. Even Lidl sold sharpening stones 10 x times better than the one included in the kit. The honing guide is OK though.

can someone help with the grades of the stone please ?

There is a grading stone which will change it from 220 - 1000 and back approximately

can someone help with the grades of the stone please ?

It is way to course to use as a finishing stone. I bought the set. use the jig but the stone I gave away. 240 grit maybe. I use the jig with a india stone

what grit is the stone?

It is really coarse. I use the honing guide with a Norton india stone instead.
