It is a lighter version of a full shade so don't expect to hold back a football team. The winds do not flap it all over the place, there is enough shade for sun comfort. Grommets usually show wear and tear after a season on most shades, especially if there is a lot of pull tension. To salvage the shades, I tie paracord around the corners. Not as pretty but very effective.

Very large, worked really well, may see two seasons.

Durable shade cloth

We got this to protect some of our plants from the sun on hot bright days. It does a good job. We attach it to the garden fence with clothes pins. It allows air and rain to pass through. It has not sagged or stretched. Update: this summer has been so hot and dry that my raspberries have had white spots on them. They have sunburned! I put this over the berries (that are already covered by a net to keep out birds). It has done a great job keeping the blazing sun off the berries for a few hours each day. No more sunburned raspberries!

We used this in an area over a small pond. We wanted to keep leaves and pine needles out of the pond. It is working for that purpose. It is a little dark for plants to grow fast. The plants that are around the pod are arranged so that they received partial day son from the early morning or late evening sun. This is working great for us and this and the Shane cloth is doing just what we wanted it to do.

I needed sunlight protection and this is a perfect over window cover.

If you need an aligned structure and plan on using the grommets, this is not the product for you!!! There is no rhyme or reason to the grommet placement on this mesh shade cloth. I attempted to install it over my garden bed using a PVC support structure, but the grommets are so haphazardly misaligned that it’s impossible to secure it evenly from one side to the other. Instead of a taut, protective cover, I’m left with a sagging, lopsided mess that fails to provide uniform shade for my plants.

This is not 40-50% shade cloth as it says. If you go through the fine print of the description at the very bottom of the add it says 80-90% shade. Far too dark for a greenhouse so we will be returning it

This shade cloth is keeping my greenhouse much cooler. I got the 50% as that was recommended for my area. I like the way the edges are sewn numerous times so it is less likely to pull apart. So far I’ve found wind does not affect it much. I also can partially open the roof vents which is great. I’d recommend this shade cloth.

No eyelets on the sides.
