Gets the job done
Not bad! Easy to set up, and fairly sturdy when on the road. I got up to 60 with an 8 foot foam board before I was sketched out. I also tightened it too much and it left an indentation in my board. Not a big deal. I have a nice car and it left no marks on the paint 🤙🤙

Great solution for traveling and then renting a car
Bought this explicitly for one trip....two weeks in Portugal to simply get the gear out of the car and onto the roof during our city to city transitions. Here are the details: 1. We were in a Mercedes C Class wagon 2. The gear was 6'9" long board bag that weighed in at 50lbs 3. We drove 1253 miles with the this setup 4. Highway speeds were sustained 80-90 mph A few things to note 1. Definitely twist the straps to get rid of the flutter. 2. Be careful with heavier gear. With the pads the weight isn't spread across the surface but isolated to the two pads. You could see the roof deflecting at times. Could I have easily just strapped the board bag to the roof with straps? Probably. Did the rental car company look favorably seeing the pads? Definitely. 3. The rubber covered strap ends are a huge plus. A must have. 4. Strapping it in the car is very quick and you simply wrap the extra around it. No problem. 5. The C Class has full frame windows on the doors. I like this better and not sure if I'd use this with a car that doesn't (i.e. a car where the windows close to the car and not to the door.). Wouldn't love stressing the window directly. 6. We actually mounted the board bag backwards. Less aero but my bag had loop points on this end that I could weave the straps through to secure the board bag to the straps and not just have the straps over the bag. Would I use this on my own car? No, BUT we have two Teslas with glass roofs. Will I be bringing these with me on all future wingfoil trips where I rent a car so I don't have to rent a huge vehicle? 100%. Just put them in the top of your gear bag and toss them on when you pick up the car. Super easy.

First trip to the beach in the books… without problems.
I was a little nervous taking my first 20 mile trip to the coast with the roof rack. I have a 2 door jeep and a soft top, so in order to strap my long board I had to rig the back harness through the rear soft window and under the jeep roll bar, which seemed to work well enough. There was a little noise, which was no big deal. But with the soft top the board was kind of bouncy going at freeway speeds. That had me a little worried, so I pulled off the freeway once just to make sure the board didn’t move any, it was fine. Got back on the freeway and went for it. Tried to keep my speed under 65. All that said, I made it to the beach and back in one piece, and I’m sure next time I’ll be a little more confident with the roof straps. Thanks for making this product that works for us soft top owners!

Fantastic quality and built to last
I’m writing this review a bit over 3.5 years since I purchased the straps, and they still function perfectly like they did out of the box. They are easy to use, and they hold my boards securely even going at normal highway speeds. I’ve never been worried about anything coming loose. I also use them for anything I need to strap onto my car, like the Christmas tree I just bought. It’s perfect for that as well. Pro tip: put a twist into the straps and they won’t vibrate and make weird noises when you’re going fast

Lets go Surfing!
The Ho Stevie roof rack has been amazing. easy to setup and holds multiple boards with out a problem. we do get a vibration hum off the front strap but eliminated the problem by sliding a pool noodle over the strap. gonna try the recommended twist method next and see how that works for me. love the fact i can swap the rack from my wife's 4 door to my 2 door car neither of which has roof racks. Love all my Ho Stevie products!

Truly Fits Any Car Securely!
This board rack is extremely easy to install. Takes under 5 minutes each time to take on and off my Chevy Cruze. I needed a rack that would go to one side because of my car's antenna sticking up in the back. This one of adjustable for sides or middle - whatever your car fits best! This holds a 9'3 longboard on my tiny car and feels very secure. I can't comment on anything over 45 MPH, but it holds up well under those speeds. Sometimes, it makes a vibrating noise if I don't twist the straps, but it's no big deal if you aren't going far. Have not tried it with multiple boards, but I would trust it!
