Raleigh PERUZZO VENEZIA 4 BIKE CARRIER,Silver

This is a great item. It's the genuine Peruzzo Venezia product in the more expensive aluminium but with the bonus of having 4 bike carriers. As has been mentioned by others this really only represents a potential to carry 4 bikes since the maximum load remains at 45 Kg (which itself is the typical weight of 3 mountain bikes). If this concerns anyone then it's possible to remove the 4th carrier fairly easily should you wish. On the Giullietta there's no need to use the optional adaptor (supplied) for the side mounts since it's easy to clamp on the metal part of the hatch. Take care though not to place the main loading bar on top of the spoiler (which is plastic) but instead on the flat forward lip of the hatch in front of the spoiler (metal). Locking the frame into position 'I' should make this clear.

Well made and sturdy product, it can however be a bit of a jigsaw getting 4 cycles of different types on but once you do find an order that works it's best to take a photo to help you the next time you put them on. Its probably a big ask to put 4 cycles on the back of your car anyway and this item is a good value product that works well Would definitely recommend

The product was advertised as being suitable for most models of car. I have a 3 series BMW and this product is not suitable at all, really difficult to get the rack to remain in position. When you tensed the straps, the hinge points would give and the rack would fall on the car scratching the paintwork, but without trying it out, we weren't to know. I tried to return the product, but there is a 20% handling fee and you have to pay for the postage which will be considerable based on the weight of the product and on this basis we are probably better off just giving it to someone with a hatchback and hoping it works better for them. Found vendors to be very inflexible, wouldn't purchase through them again.

Brilliant bike rack, simple to install and very sturdy. The bikes angle upwards so the number plate is not obscured whilst visibility is still maintained for the rear view mirror. Very happy with this purchase, brilliant value for money compared to others on the market

I have previously owned a Hollywood bike rack, so was really comparing this one with that, and found there to be pros and cons. I like the individual holders for the separate bikes, although I did not find the retaining straps suitable for all frame sizes, and I liked the additional strap to hold the bikes together, although it was not long enough. I was less impressed with the holding hooks which do not appear to be that well coated with plastic, although I have to admit they have not yet caused any damage to my cars paintwork. I am also not wholly confident in the straps tensioning buckles, although again they did hold out for our 2 hour journey, we'll see how the last in the long term. Overall, though, it did the job and was reasonably priced.

The carrier is well made and study enough. When fitted to the car it seemed good and solid. The toothed joints fit snuggly and tightly but do need to be tightened up which wasn't explained well as the instructions are awful, with tiny illustrations that are very unclear. Take some time to work out the best position to mount it on your car as it is quite flexible. After a lot of trail and error, alternating bikes and fitting some with the cross bar in the holders and some with down tube or seat tube in the holders I eventually managed to get them all on the holder. Note that the arms of the bike holder are too wide to fit the cross bar of a small or even medium sizes childs bike so you'll need to experiment (child ages 11, 9, 8 & 8). The rubber straps and single retaining strap are no way safe enough so I also secured the bikes with a further 2 bungie cords. But after spending 2 hours putting all 4 childrens bikes that I just decided if was just not good enough, the holder was secure on the car but the bikes are so cramped up they just didn't feel safe not only that they are all rubbing against each other - after a long car journey there would be many areas of scraped paint on the bikes. Even taking pedals off and turning handlebars round didn't help much. I'll keep the carrier as it is well made - but I'll just be sticking 2 bikes on it.

Excellent rack... Spent a long, long long long time looking for the right bike rack. Basically wanted one that hung off the back of my car (saloon), not on top or suspended above the boot like 99 out of 100 other racks do. with this one it allows me to take the bike on the car whilst the kayaks and windsurfer take all the roof space (and above the roof line - hence the low hanging need). Good build quality, used many times now and keeps the bikes v secure even at speeds and over rough terrain. Cant understand why some have said very difficult to fit - i can get it on the car in under a minute (not that i've timed it). Would definately buy again if something did go wrong with this one

Fairly easy to fit and feels secure. It fits our golf fine. BUT beware... the weight limit is 45KG and our bikes weigh 15 each, so no chance of getting four on. Also my 10 yr old daughters bike doesn't fit because of the lack of cross bar. The instructions show you can add a bar to rectify this, but all extra hassle.

Nous sommes assez contents de ce porte vélos, même si nous n'étions pas très sur qu'il tienne le coup, il ne nous a pas lâché pendant les 2000 km !!! Nous y avions mis 4 vélos ,2 adultes et 2 enfants, nous étions un peu au dessus du poids recommandé. Il est assez facile à installer.

Expédition expresse de la part du commerçant anglais. Produit conforme à la description. Très facile à fixer sur tous types de véhicules. Petit bémol : les fixations en plastique semblent quand même fragiles pour supporter 45kg, à confirmer à l'usage... Le vrai + : pouvoir transporter 4 velos adultes sans aucun problème.

Ce n'est pas un porte-vélo pour 4 mais pour 3 vélos !!!!!
