Great for side sleepers with shoulder pain.
Iโve had my pillow for about 5 months, and have been super happy with my MedCline pillow system. The troubles I had with my shoulders have all but disappeared. It takes a bit to get used to sleeping on this pillow. If you toss and turn, like I do, this system can be a bit clunky. My solution was to have a body pillow on the opposite side as the MedCline body pillow, basically forming a long U shape cocoon around me. So I always have a body pillow for me to hold on to without having to move the MedCline pillows to each side as I rolled over. Highly recommend if you have shoulder issues and you are a side sleeper.

Can't Switch Sides without Waking
I'm a side-sleeper and was looking for a way to side-sleep without crushing my shoulders. This product does what it claims to do: gives you a way to position yourself on your side while providing a place for your arm so that your shoulder is comfortable. The dealbreaker is that there is no natural way to roll over or switch sides. A quick google search will tell you that we do this in our sleep 10-40 times a night to aid in circulation and avoid muscle cramps. This cannot be naturally done with this pillow setup, and I found myself consciously waking up and disentangling myself to switch, and this basically destroyed my sleep quality for the night. Further, the main mechanism behind this pillow to aid in shoulder relief is simply elevating the torso on the "ramp" part, which quite frankly was the most uncomfortable part for me, as it's quite hard. The same effect can be accomplished with your own (softer) pillow placed under your torso. I was enthusiastic about it when I first laid in it because my shoulders felt relief, however the cost of waking up throughout the night is not worth it for me. I would happily pay the exorbitant price (and did) for a magical way to relieve my shoulders of the crushing of side-sleeping, but unfortunately this was not magical for me.

Best pillow ever for shoulder pain sufferers!
I feel compelled to leave a review for this products because I was hesitant to purchase because of the hefty price tag and not many favorable reviews. I LOVE THIS PILLOW!!! I suffer from jammed shoulders which have bothered me while sleeping for YEARS!!!! This pillow solved all my problems; the achy shoulders in the a.m., the falling asleep arm problem at night, my aching hips AND my snoring problem!! The first night I used it I woke up feeling so refreshed because I actually slept well!!! For the first time in so very long!! I super love the body pillow that comes with it, I'm not sure how I lived without it for so long! The only downfall of the product is the size. Its BIG (and heavy) !! We have a queen sized bed and now are going to have to get a king size because my husband says he barely has enough room! Oops! Totally worth it though!! For reference I am 5' 5" , 140lbs. The wedge pillow fits my body length perfectly. EDIT: 6 months later the foam started breaking down in the wedge causing me lower back issues. SAD. It *was a dream come true....now its just a useless $200. pillow. I do still use the body pillow, which helps slighty with my shoulders, however, for the price i paid i expected to get more than 6 months use out of the wedge. Back to jammed shoulders, but a painfree lower back.

Not great for small/petite
I have hEDS and bought this to help with shoulder and neck pain while sleeping. I am a very small person(just under 5โ 3โ) and the system is big for me. The wedge is too tall so my shoulder โhangsโ too much, exacerbating the problem, and the body pillow is too thick and doesnโt allow for my spine to align correctly. I didnโt like that my arm felt trapped under the support foam at the top of the wedge, which also complicated turning over multiple times at night. I wish the body pillow was the same length on both sides so it could support my hips on both sides and not just one. Trying to use the longer side from behind is just weird. I knew I wasnโt going to return it and have since modified the system for my size- decreasing the height of the wedge, removing the support arch at the top and just using stacked pillows, and removing some of the fill in the body pillow. I still plan on trying to even out the lengths on the body pillow using the extra fill.

Game changing pillow
This review is for people who are side sleepers and are experiencing difficulty sleeping due to shoulder pain. I can't give any insight as to those people suffering with acid reflux or snoring problems. Although the company may throw that into their advertisement to boost sales, let's be realistic. This pillow is primarily designed to help with side sleepers who have shoulder pain. There are other pillows and wedges out there at half the cost to help with acid reflux and snoring. I'm 57 years old, 6'1" tall, 275 lbs. I'm a big guy with bad shoulders due to years of lifting heavy weights in the gym. I own a construction company, and I do allot of physical labor during the day. So my shoulders have paid the price for my days activities come bedtime. And not only am I a side sleeper, I sleep 90% of the time on my right side. If I can go to sleep on my right side, I can fall asleep in maybe 2 minutes. Makes my wife mad as a hornet. My left side, and I'm still trying to fall asleep 45 minutes to an hour later. On my back, and it's again an hour trying to fall asleep, plus I get the added benefit of snoring like a freight train which my wife loves even more than how fast I can fall asleep. I've tried all sorts of pillow combinations with the pillows being tucked in all around me in an attempt to find some shoulder relief. Any relief from normal pillows is short lived because they move around during the night. Now the good stuff. Other reviews state that the pillow smells terrible when you first take it out of the plastic, and they're not lying. Anyone who's ever used spray foam in a can, well that's what it smells like. But.. that smell only last about a week. So tough it out, because it does go away. And don't let your wife close up the bedroom, because it will have the whole room smelling like spray foam. It is really big. I have a split king mattress, and it fully takes up my side of the bed with just a little to spare on the sides. My mattress is adjustable, but I no longer sleep with it inclined. The wedge pretty much already has you inclined so there's no real need. I was awkward as heck trying to get myself all fitted into the pillow the first few nights until I came up with a system. Now it takes me 10 seconds and I'm ready to fall asleep. The design of the pillow does take away all shoulder pain and issues I was having when trying to sleep on my right side. You're not really applying any pressure to the shoulders any more for support, so there is no more issues of constantly waking up during the night with my shoulder hurting. It has definitely been a game changer for my nighttime shoulder problems. Now to address complaints from other reviewers: ** Does it smell? Yes.. smells pretty bad the first week or so, but it goes away. ** Will you slide down the wedge? Yes occasionally I'll find that I have sorta slid down some on the wedge. But really no more than I would occasionally do when having my bed elevated. Doesn't happen often, but it has happened. Depends on how much I toss and turn that night. ** Can you ditch the wedge and just use the question mark shaped body pillow? Nope.. not if you are using the pillow for shoulder pain. You won't get any relief. ** Is the removable pillow covers a pain to get back on? Yes.. it's like putting a condom on a pine tree. Is it so difficult that it would change my mind about purchasing it? Absolutely not. ** Will big people crush the wedge too much? Doesn't happen to me, and I'm a big corn feed country boy. Overall, it's an expensive pillow, but if you're a side sleeper and have shoulder problems, this pillow will help. When this pillow finally wears out, I'll definitely be purchasing another one.

The slot for your sholder and arm is MUCH to near the top edge, your head falls off and causes pain
Quick comments after one night. I will give it a fair trial as my shoulder is better than before, but the night was uncomfortable and woke me up several times due to the way it worked for me. This seemed like such a great idea - to let side sleepers have a slot for the shoulder and arm to slide into so that all your weight is not carried by that shoulder joint. But it is poorly executed. The slot for your arm is only 4" from the top edge of the slanted triangular pillow, so if your head is more than 4" tall above your shoulders, this device causes it to cantilever past the top edge and creates stress on your neck. It is also very narrow from the bed surface to the arch of the pad, which feels constricting on your arm overnight. And the top edge of the slot through the pad has a pretty hard corner which presses on your arm pit as you try to sleep. I tried it with the snake like pillow that comes with it. That is a HEAVY pillow, that makes it difficult to change from sleeping on your left side to the right side during the night - one side of that pillow is longer, so you have to get out of bed, reconfigure everything (including moving the little insert in the sloped pillow from one side to the other), and then get back into bed on your other side. This is an expensive solution that does not seem to have had the level of testing, design care, and execution that one would expect of this level of product. I am going to give it another few nights to see if I get more comfortable using it. I would be happy to discuss the potential upgrades that I see with the manufacturer of desired. This could be a great product with a few modifications. But as it is now, it is much less than great.

Finally able to sleep in my bed again!
So we have tried so many different mattresses, and pillows, and mattress toppers, but none of them have really worked for me. When I sleep in my bed I wake up with terrible back pain, or neck pain, or I just don't sleep... I am a side sleeper, so I have tried many different pillows which are supposed to help with this, but they didn't work for me. The pillow cube switched my back pain to neck pain, and others just add to the back and shoulder pain. Many are just not comfortable at all. This one is different. I have slept so much better since purchasing this, even from the first night! I was expecting to have to adjust to this and give it some time, but no, the change was instant! Now let me be clear, this system is a bit much and has some drawbacks. 1.) It is expensive; 2.) It takes up a bunch of space; 3.) It is multiple pieces and looks overwhelming and complicated. Those are all negatives in my book. However, the benefits outweigh the negatives in this case. 1.) It does take up a bunch of space, there is no getting around it. For me it is worse because we only have a queen bed. But there is still room for it. If you have a King sized bed, you will have no problem at all. 2.) Multiple parts and complicated. Totally true, but once you have it on the bed, it goes together and makes sense. It is still a little cumbersome, and it sometimes my arm will get stuck if I don't remember and try to get up too fast, but this one is still worth it because the sleep improvement. And it is comfortable. 3. ) Cost. It does cost a lot! Especially if you have already spent hundreds more (or thousands depending on what else you have tried...) But can you really put a price on waking up without pain? Is there a price too high for a good night sleep? Overall, I think the cost is worth it. If you are a side sleeper, and are having back, shoulder, neck or other pain, give this a try!

It's a sleep trap. I don't want to get out of bed
It's a trap. This thing is a total sleep trap. If I do not set an alarm I fall asleep almost instantly. Normally I toss and turn and wake up every 2 hours. With this pillow I wake up once to use the bathroom. Normally after 8 hours I am ready to get out of bed, not rested just sore from trying to sleep. With this pillow I don't want to get out of bed. I am cozy and not sore. When I set an alarm I wake fully rested and ready for the day. But bed is still comfortable and I don't want to get up.
