I purchased this book and used as part of an online bible study that is provided free by Proverbs 31 ministries. The book was an excellent and easy read, it has helped me reignite my relationship with God. The overview above it point on! I am a single (in a committed relationship) female with no children, sometimes Bible Studies are only intended for busy wives/homemakers and mothers. I found this very helpful for my Christian Walk. While some of the examples did not apply directly to me, it was still a wonderful experience that has left me renewed. I also purchased the workbook. Being a very busy woman, sometimes Christ takes the back seat. This gives a great reality check to that and renews his place as first in your life. Meditating in the word is most important to any Christian. Being raised in church and even attending private christian school for most of my life, I still get away from the daily word. The book and workbook are an excellent way to reorganize and regain that daily ritual. Lysa Terkeurst understands this lack of spiritual mediation all too well. Terkeurst is the author of a dozen best-selling Christian women's books, and the president of Proverbs 31 ministries. Even though she is a VERY busy woman and has a job that i dearly envy, she is able to take whatever comes her way. Zondervan published the book in 2009, however it is still very relevant to today's culture and experience. She does not come across as an expert, she remembers dearly when she was in the readers shoes and does not look down or speak in a condescending manner. Again probably intended for the busy mother and wife, I was very much blessed by this book and her testimony.

This book is an easy read & easy to understand. It lays out a lot of very real topics we deal with on a regular basis. It comes across as heartfelt and helps you examine your Christian walk. I would highly recommend it.

I enjoyed the whole book, but the last third of it was very powerful and just enlarged my heart to want to be more and more transformed by the love of Christ so that that love will shine through Me. I happen to be studying at the same time the sermon on the mount so together these two packed a powerful spiritual message.

Now to be perfectly honest...cause thats the kinda girl I am, real and honest...Lysa had me with just the introduction...which I was privileged to read many weeks before this book was released! Reading the introduction...left me wanting MORE! And thats just what you get when you read this book. You get MORE...Girlfriends...cause thats how Lysa lives her life...desiring to live next to us girls on this journey called life! Consider yourself one of the 'girls' who is gathered in her living room, sipping something...and chatting away. This book is so fun to read...and many times I could be heard exclaiming loud and proud.."ME TOO!" Lysa uses REAL life examples...ones that come from her everyday relationship with her Jesus. Ones that are relatable. There was such divine working in the timing of me reading this book. I pray and know that God will use this book to speak to the hearts of His daughters...in very personal and intimate ways! Ways that will leave you wanting MORE of your Jesus! Thank you Lysa for sharing your heart and being obedient! Thank You Jesus for sharing Your daughter with us! Well written and organized. The companion DVD helps reinforce the ideas presented in a warm caring way. Lisa has a good sense of humor and gentle approach that pushes you forward in your walk with the Lord. This book will really help you to think differently about your day-to-day life.

As a woman it is often easy to get caught up with the struggle of self-worth. We allow our shortcomings to define who or what we are. We think "if only" and cause ourselves to spin in a downward spiral, sinking deeper into the pit of despair. But God desires for us to break those chains that so easily entangle us when we get our eyes off Him. "One day it dawned on me to ask God for more. I literally started begging Him for insights and revelations and proof that more was possible. And slowly the shift occurred. Another winner for me from Lysa. Im currently doing a bible study with with this book through Pr31 ministries, which is really helping to bring it alive, but the book on its own or maybe read with a small church group would be well worth a read

This book is full of practical truths for learning to really live in the reality of God's love. Lysa's humor and down to earth approach to living a life of faith make this book a must read! I highly recommend this book to anyone woman searching to know God more.

This book/the DVD and participants guides are so great. Started out with a few girls getting together to see how to Become more than good Bible Study Girls and now we are up to 17. Everyone is spreading the word. I just keep ordering more books. It's practical, simple and personal. We all love it.
