Equine allergies are always worse when horses are out at grass in the spring & summer.

Cavalesse is a daily oral solution that helps maintain a healthy skin in horses prone to summer allergies especially when out at grass.

How does it work?
Cavalesse contains specially formulated nicotinamide along with other mineral, that helps to regulate the immune system in the horse's skin.

When the horse is exposed to an allergen eg midge bite or pollen the immune system in the skin triggers an 'over the top' response causing the signs of allergy that you see in your horse. Cavalesse if given early in the season will help reduce the inappropriate response of the immune system, so keeping the skin healthy.

Cavalesse contains Nicotinamide or Vitamin B3 in combination with a number of other natural ingredients. Nicotinamide has been shown to help balance the natural immune response of a horse, so helping to maintain a healthy skin in horses and ponies prone to allergies in the Spring and Summer. 

There are a number of causes of allergies including feed sensitivity, nettle stings and most commonly, salvia from insect bites especially midges. A bite from a midge causes a reaction resulting in swelling and itching (sweet itch). The horse will start to rub or chew the area which becomes infected and very sore. 

Cavalesse reduces the production of histamine and improves the skin barrier by increasing the amount of natural fats in the skin surface. This can greatly reduce the symptoms associated with allergies. 

Recommended daily amount:
Horses and ponies weighing less than 500kg: 2ml per day
Horses weighing more than 500kg: 3ml per day 

Recommendations:
