This trim was just what we needed for a little special flare for a dance costume. It is the lime green but with a flash looks yellow. And it was absolutely the perfect match for what we needed. I was impressd with the spacing of the feathers. They did not fall out while I was working with it unless I pulled on it. They were pretty much a uniform length. I had to order more because we did double layer it for a fuller look. The colors were a match even though ordered separately. I have never worked with trim like this and didn't think about the glue holding in the feathers. So as an inexperienced seamstress I did gunk up my sewing machine and end up hand sewing it on going through many needles and sticky pins. But it was absolutely worth it. Definitely going to be my go to place if I ever need to do this again. Pictures are what it looks like don with 2 layers in flash and no flash. Close up is what 1 layer looks like.

The feathers arrived they are less than one inch long and spaced out centimeters apart. I purchased them to be trim for drapes in an elegant room, and they are so far from what I envisioned baed upon the photos in the advertisement. They are almost like human hair. And Thin. And far apart. And Short. Not acceptable for $30! Total disappointment.

I used these ostrich feathers to design a bow, I made… needless to say, it was a hit. These were very easy to cut. They’re long lasting. They don’t fall off. The length is perfect and you can also cut them if need be. They are incredibly soft and stunning! They can be used for several different purposes!

I purchased this feather trim to add to the cuffs of a shirt. I sewed on the first layer and it was a little too thin for my liking (see first photo). I then glued another layer under the first which was perfect. I added some bronze studs that I had to help cover my sewing job and my shirt looked great! I took off one star for the thin feathers, but aside from that no complaints. I will be hand washing the top as I'm not sure how it would hold up in the wash. The feathers appear to be glued down inside of the binding.

I thought it was a gift and was looking for the item in the mailer. Not what was pictured, maybe an open view would have given a better visual. We ordered more and made it work and the design was great. Just order much more than you think you will need.

I use ostrich feathers to add movement to my puppets and the 2 shown are called SNOOFS! Ostrich feathers move at the slightest motion of my hands or even undetected air currents in a room. I usually perform outside so there’s lots of wind that helps. Since the feathers are glue and sewn down in between the ribbon, I use GlueGoo to soften the adhesive and carefully trim the stitching to release the individual feathers that I need for my puppets. Sure, there will be a few that are shorter than the rest, don’t fret about it! It all adds to the fullness that you are looking for! At least you won’t have to de-glue and unstitch to use the feathers unless you’re making puppets too!

very thin... the shorter the feather the more thick.. . wish i could have returned, but i cut in to small pieces and kept stacking trying to make the product show up on a skirt i was making. i wouldnt recommend though.
