The films I know but the quality of the upgrade to blu-ray is amazing. The packaging is the usual Blu-ray box but enough information on it. This replaced 4mo ies that I have on DVD and adds the final movie so a great deal.

Clint eastwood's mythical/ western modern cop Dirty Harry was both a watershed movie and a critical stab at the (then) modern world. Harry callaghan was the character that made Eastwood, although a star already, with Rawhide (television) and the Spaghetti trilogy, this was a true blockbuster (and fascist according to the late critic Pauline kael). Pushing boundaries of both violence AND nudity. Cementing both Eastwood's and his director Don (invasion of the body snatchers) Siegel reputations. Eastwood would return to Harry Callaghan with varying success over the years, 1st with Magnum Force (featuring a secret cabal within the police carrying out killings on criminal world) , featuring hal holbrook (in a siminlar role he would repeat in Capricorn one and the star chamber) and mitchell ryan, robert urich, and david soul. The second The Enforcer featuring a Peoples liberation front - this movie refects its time, but Tyne Daly as Eastwood's partner make it worth watching. The latter two Harry pictures both made in the 1980s, Sudden Impact (Eastwoox directed) is a truly bleak movie and even with Eastood's quips do not detract from Revenge storyline. By the fifth movie The Dead Pool, Eastwood reputedly made to get BIRD financed. Again reflecting the period it camd from, although it points the way celebrities goes (dying in three is highlighted and a running gag). Also the parasitic nature of tv / celebrity (living and dead) is pointedly made. Although none of the sequels match the power of the 1st movie, the blu ray set is well worth buying, the image is a little brighter and certainly more Clarity. The extras are the same as previous sets and still in standard. If you like Eastwood movies this set well worth seeking out.

This a film about a man who thought he felt lucky, but wasn’t. Spread over five episodes this film took years to make you can actually see the man that asks the man if he feels lucky actually looking older in the last chapter. Most of the people get shot, except the ones that don’t.

Great collection of movies.

I purchased this collection in blue ray as an upgrade. I have been upgrading my favorite movies from my film library in blue ray if I can find a bargain. This Dirty Harry Collection was a real bargain in amazon.co.uk in british sterling pounds compared with US dollars in the amazon.com here in the US & images look brighter. The only flaw found is that these films are from the early 70's, the footage wasn't cleaned the way it was supposed to & shows dust particles in the master film as well as lines in some of the frames. I saw this too in the earlier James Bond films from the 60's as well. When you hear the "Restored & Re-Mastered" let the buyer beware(Caveat Emptor). Many of these old films are remasterd but footage is no really cleaned like they did with the Film "Cleopatra". It is one of a handful of old films of 60's & early 70's that did an outstanding job with the restoration. I know that if the "Criterion" people put their hands on the "Dirty Harry" collection they too will do an outstanding job with these films. I give the 5 stars because these are some of my favorite films & look better in blue ray than on DVD.

Todos los films tienen el doblaje que conocemos en España, y la relación calidad/precio es mejor que si compráis la edición española. Muy recomendable. Y con respecto a los films, todos buenos/muy buenos salvo el segundo, que se realizó para rebatir las acusaciones de algunos sectores que calificaban a Harry como "fascista" y hacían mención a la "violencia policial". ¡Lo que hay que oír! ¡En este mundo en que vivimos hace falta muchos "Harrys" para poner orden!
