John Wick 1 - 4 Box Set (4K UHD)

Buying this John Wick 4k collection for £30 was an absolute steal. These films are very well made and some of the most fun I've had at the cinema since Lord of the Rings twenty years ago. We all mostly know about the story behind John Wick now, right? The man lost his wife to an illness and she arranges to have a puppy sent to John to help him cope with her death. Whilst out on a joy ride, John comes across some Russian mobsters. He turns down an offer on his car, so they decide to take it anyway. Beating John within an inch of his life and killing his (adorable) puppy. This cause John to unearth his forgotten past as a hitman and go after the men who did it. Unfortunately for him, it's a never ending string of incidents that span over four movies. I personally love the first two for their continuity. Keanu Reeves (obviously), Ian McShane, Michael Nyqvist and Willem Dafoe star in this film, making for an interesting array of characters. This spreads out into some interesting world building and lore. Naturally leading into a the third film, which is very enjoyable but is a bit of a slog in the middle. The scenes with Haley Berry in the middle are tedious, but very well choreographed. I felt that these scenes were a bit too mean spirited, which is odd considering the kill count between the four films. Talking of film four, what a way to top off the series. John Wick 4 is a three hour epic full of excellent character and some of the best fight choreography in a long time. The actual discs themselves have some interesting features and are of very sound quality. The image quality is beautiful, clear and crisp. The sound is quite fantastic and really pops through a surround sound system. It's easily the best way to watch these films, other than having them back in the cinema. At this point, I think most fans of action movies have either bought these films. They are modern classics as far as a lot of people are concerned and I agree. These 4k renditions are fantastic and the price on the sale was excellent. Worth every penny.

Love these films, what a cast. I'm glad my mate told me about them. Full of action, when you think it stops it just continues. Each film is longer than the other and better in some ways. If your thinking about buying this set, please do.💯👍🏻🔥

John Wick has become a household name - because it has earned that right to become as good as many people say it is. An amazing four discs of action, martial arts and storyline as to the making of the worlds greatest assassin. A bargain at buying the four chapters, too. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves Keanu Reeves.

A demo worthy 4K UHD disks. These 4 incredible action movies shine in a new stunning light on 4K. Sound (Dolby Atmos) is incredible - you can feel every gunshot. A must own for fans of the franchise.

First off this box set is just the 4 discs and has no extras or standard Blu-ray versions bundled in. 4 films, 4 UHD disks. Simple as that. Chapter 1 and 2 are standard HDR with Dolby Atmos. Great picture quality and the audio is spot on with plenty of effects in the height channels to get you immersed. Chapter 3 and 4 have Dolby Vision as well as Atmos. Chapter 3's audio mix I wasn't a fan of though. music felt thin and pushed to the background. Even the sound effects seemed a little off somehow and the hieght channels had some odd and over the top moments which were actually a bit jarring. Chapter 4 was good all round. Overall it's a great box set at a good price. Just a shame about chapter 3.

John Wick remains an entertaining movie franchise on my 2nd watch of each film. The movies are just as good as each other in terms of fight choreography and setting backdrops, but Chapter 4 was my personal favorite. It would just be another run of the mill action franchise if it were not for the interesting Lore of the High Table. This keeps each film alive and sustains the viewers interest.

All four of the John Wick films are master action films in one way or another. They all are similar yet each grow in creativity and spectacle as they go on. If you enjoy action films and Keanu being Keanu, you'll love these. From a technical aspect, all four films come with HDR and Dolby Atmos, so they all look and sound incredible. This pack consists of just the 4K UHD discs. No standard Blu-rays are included. Overall a stunning set.

Wir lieben die John Wick Filme. Könnte man immer wieder anschauen. Leider habe ich mich verschaut und diese bestellt. Leider ist dort keine deutsche Fassung dabei. Es gibt keine 4K Fassung auf deutsch was ich sehr schade finde.
