Is it normal that there is condensation in the package and the casings look wet?

From what I remember the casing is a bit wet, but needs to be soaked overnight before use.

Do I need to clean it before use? I have seen that vinegar and salt are recommended anywhere but here, please help

I don't see a bbe / use by date on the product. can i assume it was freshly packaged before it was sent to me?

They do have a Best Before date on. Ones I bought at the beginning of November have a best before date of August 2023. The packet also says they will keep for up to a year if kept sealed in the packet.
