Review: Read this first - It’s September 2026. I bought this thing in the middle of 2023. It’s been solid except for a few software hiccups that left unusable until the software updates were done. It was like a countdown timer or something really stupid but I actually would give this a four star rating but it seems like things just ran more smoothly each time there’s a software update so it’s like higher load items wouldn’t trip the automatic breaker. The app infrastructure was a lot better so here are some things I really like about it. You can talk to it with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth You can set the automatic power charging as little as 100 W as much as 900 W You’re able to turn the 12 V and AC outlets on remotely You can change the display screen and turn on some lab features You can as an uninterruptible power source UPS and it makes it a very valuable tool. I’ve used mine for off grid camping and just in my camper to run equipment while the power source was off and now I use it at a job site to charge my phones and other things because sometimes the job site power get shut off and I know when I come back, my things will be charged. I will say the only damage it happened to the thing is the screen has a crack in the outer lens. Not sure how because I’m always babying it and taking care of it however, it’s been a great unit other than that few software hiccups where you tried turning it on and it won’t turn on and it basically was I was trying to start a pancake generator to run an air nailer and they didn’t have enough amperage in it like locked out the on and off feature so it just basically turned itself off and would not come back on, but the software update made it to where it would run the generator but at that time I didn’t wanna risk messing up my generator battery pack thing. I had called the customer service a few times to bitch him out because it’s not working the way it’s supposed to and they’re pretty cool understanding people and even though I’m a straightforward straight shooter they were able to answer my technically minded questions and help resolve some of the issues I was having with it. I would totally recommend it and I’m kind of sad that they don’t have this model anymore because it’s been so solid but from what I understand, they were getting rid of this model because they’re going to a different battery chemistry. Regardless of that, I’ve had very little problems with mine and I don’t think I would care to change about a chemistry and this is why What I do to expand the power cells ability to provide power off Grid was by adding a 12 V power source so I basically purchased two Lithium group 31 batteries and parallel wired them into the 12 V car charging port on the back and was able to extend the runtime by about 2000 Watt hours other than that it’s never had any issues and I noticed that the power coming out it’s been really smooth. I’ve even been able to run a window AC for about 45 minutes and about 2 1/2 hours in compressor cooling mode with my extra batteries. The cooling fans come on and off like you would expect and they will go into high flow mode, so they’re not too noisy. Other than that I can only hope that their newer products or just as good.

I like the additional 12V jacks as well as the USB ports. I wish the USB ports had the same power buttons as the 12V and the AC ports, but it works very well.

**Q: I am confused - is it Lifepo4 or Lithiumn Ion battery? The descriptions confused me.   thank you.**
A: The older model ecoflow units have only the Lithium Ion batteries. Any of the newer models that have the number “2” in the name have the newer Lithium Iron Phosphate (Lifepo4) batteries. So the River 2 Pro has the newer Lithium Iron Phosphate (Lifepo4) battery. Hope this helps

**Q: Can this power a 900 watt Microwave? How bad does it drain the battery after 10 minutes of Microwave usage?**
A: With the XBoost you can push the 800 to 1600, and that will work for some dumb devices (hair dryers, heaters, etc.). Your use time will depend on the power draw of your device.

**Q: How do you turn on Bluetooth?**
A: Down load the app on your cell phone and select the product from a list.  I works on WIFI as well as BT.  It will only work on 2.4g.

**Q: Can you run a regular refrigerator and a 75 inch tv off if this in a power outage?**
A: Yes. It depends on how much power the pull. It can run them.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for my Live Music GIGs

Okay, I did not get it for this purpose and just found out about a week ago when I got it to play with it. I tried out different lights, fans, radios, etc. Still am going to try more things later. I bought an EF Ecoflow Delta 2 Max with 2 solar panels last year and have used it a few times for various work related and music related purposes and it work perfectly. It is heavy (like 60 lbs) and I thought i would get a smaller ECOFLOW to run a few items on while the other is charging off the sun or otherwise. More than pleased with the Smaller ECOFLOW. This one is only 17 pounds. It will not run a frig or big TV for more than an hour maybe 2 and I couldn't use it for my job and career fairs where I run 5-6 devices for up to 8 hours. The Delta does this easily though. I am a musician, and my group of 4 play lots of indoor and outdoor gigs. I do have a Westinghouse inverter 2000W generator that I have used for the outdoor stuff and it has been great for about the last 5 years. Pretty quiet but the ECOFLOW is silent and no fumes so I can use it inside or outside. I have used the big delta a couple of time indoors - there were no inhouse plugs close by without running 100' or extension cord. It worked great but again it is heavy to haul around. Here we go.......Epiphany/Discovery Time! I can run my whole musical group setup from the smaller ECOFLOW! Easily! for 30 hours or more. I still can't believe it! I just kept plugging in my equipment one thing at a time and it all works for much longer than I will ever need it. So here's my setup - Behringer 1600W Amp/mixer combo - 2 big Peavey passive speakers (15 inch woofers and horn drivers for high end) - a smaller Behringer keyboard amp/mixer monitor - a full size Yamaha keyboard - and last but not least (and I really don't use this as part of my regular setup but I wanted to see how much this thing could handle) a Peavy Keyboard amp/speaker combo. Oh, I also had a large Harbinger, powered speaker, that I hauled out of the storeroom and plugged it in too. If you have lost count, that's 5 devices total. The ECOFLOW still only showed about 70W of output and that it would be able to run for 25-30 hours. Crazy! It will run about 4-5 light bulbs for maybe 4 hours but all this stuff for much, much longer than I will ever need it for. Who would have guessed? I play in a string group with 1 cello, 1 violin, 1 flute and 1 keyboard. All instruments have pickups and mics running into the big Behringer Amp including the keyboard. So, getting back to my actual performance setup, that's 4 instruments and 3 electronic devices to give sound to everything. It works! and not just for a few minutes or a few hours but would run it all for 30+ hours! That's nuts. I assume all of these electronics take very little input and then internally amp those inputs up to what it required. Sorry, I am not an engineer - I don't really care how it works - it just does, beautifully. What a great discovery! Update on 6-17-25 A few days ago I setup this device with 4 instruments in my Garage. I have an upcoming Farmer's market and wanted to give it a realistic tryout before I actually go use it. Items plugged into it. Full size Yamaha Keyboard, Behringer piano monitor, and Behringer 1600 watt amp/mixer powering to large Peavy speakers. The Ecoflow was charged at about 96%. We played for about 1.5 hours. The device said it would go 9 hours to start with. At the end of the 1.5 hours it said about 8 hours. The Farmer's Market is by far our longest gig of the year at 5 hours. 9 hours is plenty of time. More after our first performance on 6-21-25.
