Miscellaneous Storage 2-Shelf Bookcase/book shelf, Select Cherry finish

First off, let me say that the instructions are amazing. Having had to assemble various items in the past couple years, it feels like instructions are going extremely minimalist, opting to show mere confusing diagrams instead of written instruction. This then forces you to search YouTube in the vain hope that a video exists to show you how to assemble it. The instructions for this bookcase include written instructions and a detailed diagram. That being said, the only step I had a problem with was Step 6 (pictured). I put the molding flush with the top when there should have been a little space between the edge of the top and the molding (pictured). I had a difficult time lining up the holes with the screws and therefore just kept the edges flush to help, which was a mistake and led to there being a tiny gap between the molding and the side (pictured). If you get this bookcase, please make sure you do not make my mistake. It is not a big enough issue for me to try to disassemble it and fix. Despite the tiny flaw, created by my own misunderstanding, the bookcase is excellent quality for pressboard and it is sturdy. It looks great and will serve for our purposes perfectly. The price wasn't too bad either (we paid $85). Overall, I highly recommend this bookcase as it is of a decent quality and price, and the instructions are simple to follow, which makes it easy for one person to assemble it themselves.

So I ended up picking this up to expand my living room storage for books and box sets etc. This shelf is actually kind of perfect for my living room and gives me a nice amount of space to organize some larger items I have in my collection. Took about an hour to put together solo, not difficult, everything lined up without issue. Quality wise, well, you get what you pay for and this obviously isn't a $500 shelf... it's adequate and looks a bit nicer than it probably should though when light hits it at certain angles you can tell it's not real wood. Seems like it will hold some weight decently well though I won't be pushing it. Should also mention it's a darker cherry colour in person, which in my case is a good thing and my preference, the pics for the product are obviously taken under bright lights. TL;DR If you need some extra storage space and have limited space, this should fit your needs. It looks pretty good though I'd maybe avoid loading it up with super heavy books and potentially keep a wood colour touch up marker handy just in case you scratch it. At the end of the day this shelf works well for me and I'm satisfied with my purchase. :)

Easy assembly by one person. Sturdy and attractive.

Quite frankly, I was surprised by the quality of this product at this price. Sure it's made of particle board, but that's what I'd expect for this price. Regardless of what it's made of, the pieces were cut perfectly to fit together snuggly, and the result is an attractive bookshelf sturdy enough to hold some fairly heavy books. The instructions provided very helpful comments and guidance for assembling it, so as long as you read all those comments, and follow the clear guidelines, and patiently take your time, you will end up with a nice piece of affordable and functional furniture.
