Each piece is about 1/2” x 1/2” x 2” in size, I gave more exact values in an earlier answer. **Q: can any type of glue be used without disolving the foam?** A: I used a tube of silicone caulking, worked fine **Q: For each of these tray is there actually a solid "bottom" of foam or do the cells pluck out leaving a hole all the way through?** A: A hole all the way through; though the foam also includes some flat sheets that can serve as a bottom . . . **Q: The page offers the dimensions of a small cube—3.94 x 3.94 x 3.94 inches. ‎What are the actual dimensions?** A: The foam I got had sections of size about 1/2” x 1/2” x 2”. They were actually a bit smaller, 0.47” x 0.47” x 1.93”.
