ONLY ONE THAT REALLY WORKS
I have an LG UltraGear 48 inch gaming monitor that can handle PS5’s top graphic settings when plugged directly into the HDMI input. However, I also have a Macbook Pro, Apple TV and Ipad Pro 12.9 that I also want connected to this monitor. Now the obvious and most simply solution would be to just plug each device into its own input and move on with my day. Endlessly going into input settings and switching the HDMI input manually and the quick input switch selection on most monitors usually forces you to cycle through all the inputs! NOW it is 2024 and who has time for that?! It is very clear there is a need for a simple desktop device that can easily switch the input direcltly using a button or a small remote WITHOUT loosing any the amazing sound and video quality of these next gen A/V devices. I tried every option i could find on Amazon, at Best Buy, on Reddit and NONE would push the full 120hz 4k/60hz 8k signal they boated to retain. I promise even the most respectable brands like ANKER, UGREEN or INSIGNIA had options that simply would not push the signal 100% correctly. I also tried the off-brand switches that look just like this one which promise the same specs and they still did not work. The closest i got was the UGREEN 8k 3 port HDMI Switch but it could not push the full 120hz framerate at 4k only 60hz at 8k. At the end of the day a jump from 60hz to 120hz is MUCH more notable than a jump from 4k to 8k which is barley noticeable in screens smaller than a movie theater. FINALLY i decided to just buy every option and return the ones that did not work. THANK YOU AMAZON because i finally found it. This is the switch of switches, it works like a tank and i have verified 100% full lossless audio and video using several methods I learned while testing the other switches. i even am able to route the audio out of the headphone jack of the monitor into my KRK Subwoofer, which acts as a Audio hub for 4 krk rockit studio monitors. THE SOUND IS PERFECT even with super sensitive studio monitors that are built to notice even the slightest imperfections. BEST BEST BEST. dont waste your time with anything else or let anyone convince you the only way is to directly connect to the tv. THIS SWITCH WORKS AND I AM SO HAPPY!

Works for PS5 pro, xbox series x, PC, ELGATO 4K PRO
After trying a few HDMI switchers, this is the only one that has been working for me. I waited for a bit before writing this review because I wanted to make sure it was not going to crap on me. So far so good. I wanted a switcher that would work for my ELGATO 4K PRO, with A PS5 pro, XBOX series x, and PC, and this one did the trick. It allows me to switch between my Xbox, ps5, and pc for recording at 4k 120hz and also sometimes use my handheld lenovo go 2 for recording video with OBS. The main thing is that it allows 4k 120 hz to passthrough my pc making it easier for PS5 pro and xbox series x to be set at 4k 120hz to match my C5 tv. ALL and all, if your set up situation is similar to mine, I recommend you give this a try. It works for me so far, and hopefully it will work for you as well

Updated Review 04/19/2024
8K Kinivo ($84.99) VS Deonon AVS-3 ($199.99) My Set up: XGIMI Elfin Projector Inputs: APPLE TV 4K (WiFi + Ethernet 128GB) PS3 Slim Cables used: Monoprice 4K Certified Premium High Speed Slim HDMI Cable - 4K60Hz, 18Gbps, HDR, 6ft, Black DIFFERENCES: So with the Kinivo 8K, it automatically connects to the Apple TV 4K after I turn on the projector and press the Home button on the Apple TV controller. With the Denon, I have to press source on the projector controller and then press the home button on the Apple TV controller. Kinivo 8K allows 48Gbps and Denon only allows 40Gbps. (Since I'm poor I have no way of testing if the Kinivo really can do 48Gbps. If it does, is it error free?) Kinivo has 4 inputs which is perfect. You can put your Apple 4K, PS5, Xbox and your Panasonic blu-ray player. But honestly if I had the money, it would be Apple 4K, PS5, Gaming PC and a Panasonic bluray player. Kinivo 8K IS UGLY AS HELL... 2 toned black and silver makes it looks cheap.. The oversized logos makes it look VERY obnoxious and cheap.. The Denon brushed metal makes it look so sexy and sleek. Makes you want to put it out in the open to show how good it looks. Kinivo casing is cheap plastic and lightweight, while the Denon is hefty and made out of aluminum, but still light. Switching time between devices, the Kinivo is faster. With the Kinivo when switching or when the loading screen pops up, the Denon makes a popping sound while the Kinivo doesn't.. I'm guessing it's cause it's HDMI CEC.. I still don't understand it. SIMILARITIES: Both Kinivo & Denon have the same problem on, my projector when I play something on youtube on the Apple TV. When it switches to an ad, the loading logo pops up. Both have 3D support. Both have a remote, but the Denon is SOLID. The Kinivo remote feels cheap, creaks a lot and hollow. Overall opinion: If you're going for looks? DENON If you're going for price? KINIVO If you're going for compatibility? Probably DENON, due to a lot of reviews saying for high end stuff it doesn't have flicker problems. And audio is less problematic, I've had occurrences where the audio doesn't work on the Kinivo. Honestly, if you want to something decent buy the Kinivo 8K (4K only goes up to 60hz, the 8K goes to 120Hz) and upgrade later. If you have the money or you're having problems with the Kinivo 8K, buy the Denon AVS-3. I wish I had money so I could give you a wider review with all HDMI switchers.

Kinivo 8K HDMI Switch (8K 60Hz, 4 in 1) — one remote, multiple consoles, zero fuss
Switched between my PS5 and console box with no input lag, supports crisp 8K/60Hz so my display stays sharp, and the auto-scan plus compact design cleared up cable clutter on my entertainment shelf.

Switches, Auto Switches, and also cuts to black occasionally
I bought this product because I have a lonely 4k HDR capable Samsung TV with 3 HDMI ports and 6 HDMI's to connect to it. These include: PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, PC, Retrotink 4k, and Google Chromecast Ultra. I set everything up, have power plugged in, followed directions and everything was ok for awhile but I noticed something. Occasionally, the picture would cut to black for a few seconds. Ok, maybe this is just a HDCP thing. Try it without HDCP - Still cuts to black. Maybe its 4k HDR.... Nope, Nintendo Switch at 1080p cuts out. This is apparently an issue with a lot of switchers. Unfortunately, this device suffers from it. Maybe its the compatibility with my equipment, maybe I have voltage issues within the wall... Who knows. Until I can rule out everything, I can't blame it fully on the product. However, everything works normally through the HDMI on the tv. Let me tell you, if you get interested in a show you are not going to want it to cut out for a couple seconds. So be warned. It seems to be ok for the most part, but my device definitely cuts out. Update: I've used this adapter for a few months now. Save yourself some hassle and BUY SOMETHING ELSE. Everything I plug into it cuts out eventually. It doesn't matter how long I've had it plugged in, how often I reset the adapter, the quality or length of the cable, the system that I use... Nothing is stable. I am changing this device from a 3 star to a 1 star because I can't play PS5 games, I can't watch movies on Google Chromecast Ultra, I can't use my computer on it, everything cuts out to the point that you can't watch anything.

It works!
It works! I went through about 5 of these before I found one that worked with my setup. I have a Benq projector with a 60’ HDMI cable into the wall, then a 4k bridge wall plug adapter. This is the first one to have enough power to get the signal down the wire. The remote is - chefs kiss. Easy to use for anyone. A must buy.

UPDATE: Constantly Cuts Out
Update: After several months of working well, the HDMI switch now cuts out constantly while playing video games, particularly on the PS5. Perhaps mine is defective, or the PS5 just thruputs too much data, I don't know. Either way, this is likely a good HDMI switch for items that don't require a lot of data but it's simply not working for next gen video games or my PC. I really wanted to like this HDMI switch (as you can see from my original review). But it just didn't hold up. Original Review: Bought this switch to replace a mid-grade, two port HDMI switch. I have a PS5, Nintendo Switch, WiiU, and PS2 all connected to my living room TV. I also occasionally lug out my gaming PC and hook it up on the big screen as well. I needed am HDMI switch that would allow me to run all the cables to their various places without having to plug and unplug everything all the time. This one works great, unlike my other cheap switch, which had picture crackle and would occasionally cut out. I also added an HDMI signal booster on the output side of the HDMI switch since I'm pushing the signal over 15ft of 8k HDMI cable. It's more expensive than many other options, but worth it in my opinion. Plus, once you have an HDMI switch on your TV you'll almost certainly figure out other stuff you want to plug in. Two ports just wasn't enough.

This Device Is All It Claims To Be
If you ever need to buy a HDMI 2.1 Switcher coz your TV HDMI 2.1 ports are taken and want to add more devices that support HDMI 2.1 features. I recommend this little device, I have tried few, some work but not the best and some are advertised falsely. This is little pricy, but goes on special at times and is super fast, supports everything with beautiful picture with no slow down and also automatically switches to the right port once the device has been turned on, and also comes with a remote. I bought mine from Amazon.

Very cool device …
I was unable to figure out how to extend the number of ports on my TV and this device comes across as a boon. These days just 3 ports are rather insufficient as one of them will get locked up if you own a soundbar like I do. To work with just 2 ports and multiple devices like set top box, Apple TV, Roku, Firestick, Blueray player and PS5 was becoming such a pain … had to keep removing cables and putting them back based on what I wanted to use. It’s been a few hours since I hooked it up. First time I powered it on, it didn’t work at all and I was quite disappointed and thought of returning it, till I realised that perhaps the output HDMI cable that goes back to the TV is not working. I changed that cable and this thing immediately came to life. It works as advertised. It’s quite small and light … which creates slight problem of placing it… because of the weight of the cables going in … it wobbles and doesn’t sit flush on the cabinet. Need to figure that part out. Automatic switching doesn’t quite work … so you have to use the remote that’s been provided to switch between input sources. But switching between sources is quite fast, hardly 5 seconds … barely noticeable. The picture quality and sound quality doesn’t feel compromised. I would definitely recommend this device to anyone who is looking to expand the number of ports on their TV.

KINIVO 8K is better than 4K
I threw away KINIVO 4K as it was dropping HDMI SIGNAL. But this KINIVO 8K works better with 3 HDMI CONNECTIONS

Nice piece of kit
This works a charm. Picture quality is brilliant. I have three HDMI inputs to my OLED TV - Sky/CCTV/Computer. I can now sit at my sofa and change from one to the other using my TV remote. The device comes with a remote but I don't have to use it. Not sure this works for everyone but iIf I point my Sky remote at the device and use the up/dn volume button it changes the inputs. I think this is an unintended/undocumented feature but happy to have it.
