Does this test for yeast or bacterial infections?

Yes! This is what doctors use! I got false negatives with three pee stick tests, than went into planned parenthood for a second opinion where they used this and it came back as a severe yeast infection!

How do you test your Vaginal ph? do you take a urine sample?

Dont test urine. Swab the inside of your vaginal wall with a Q tip and swipe onto the paper. Read the results right away. If your ph is above a 3.5 to 4, it is not acidic enough. I insert a boric acid capsule overnight and that usually brings ph to a perfect level. Great for after a period to feel fresh again!

Will this work for testing for UTIs also?

They will give you the ph balance in your urine which could let you know if there was a problem (uti or other), but for a more accurate and more specific result you would probably want to buy a uti test strip which will test your white blood cells and nitrites. I know you can get strips for that at Walgreens or other drug stores.

will the test work for women who have had a hystorectomy?

Yes. Your pH works the same as any other woman's. Don't worry.
