ESD UK Anti-Static Grounding Adapter - 2 x 4mm Sockets & 1 x 10mm Studs

I'm using the plug to ground a wrist strap and a soldering mat. It works as intended, and is well priced. It also feels like it's good quality. Recommended item.

I tested this with my multimeter and the resistance between the earth pin and each of the 3 connectors (2 banana and one popper) is indeed 1000 Ohms I do think that £15 is a bit expensive though.

I recently bought an ESD mat which had a socket for a grounding plug. This plug does what it says on the tin. Arrived on time, well packaged. Easy to use. Replaced a laptop display recently using this and it worked great. Highly recommended.

Perfect for use when working with static-sensitive equipment. I have heard some respected IT professionals saying that we don't need to worry about static precautions. More fool them! Computer and other static-sensitive equipment can be damaged by low level static that we carry around all the time, without being aware of it. A static shock occurs with a charge of 1000s of Volts, but Computer kit can be damaged by hundreds of volts, and may not show damage immediately, but break down weeks later. So, why take the risk? This plug, plus an antistatic wrist strap and mat is all that is needed to eliminate the risk!

This is ideal, it gives you the ability to connect a work surface ESD mat to it via the round clip on connector, and also your ESD wrist strap directly to it if the cable is terminated with the post style connector.

I can see a resistor inside the product, but it doesn't seem to be connected to anything as the resistance measures half an Ohm. Considering the manual is a badly written sticker I also doubt this is UK manufactured.

Does what it says on the tin - plug into mains and plug an ESD Wristband in.

Building our own PC. Needed to be sure to be grounded. Used this with a wrist strap and built a highly speced PC from components to power on with no issues. Don't risk it.
