CRISCO WORKS GREAT FOR BAKING

I make a lot of pie crusts. I love making pies, but not the price of butter! This is a lifesaver. It has long been said that shortening makes the best pie crust, but with shortening alone to misses that buttery aftertaste. Enter Crisco Butter Flavor shortening. I get flaky crusts with a hint of butter in the taste. And at a bargain price compared to using butter. Now I can save the butter for baking cakes, cookies, and making frosting!

Great size at a great price! I don't use shortening on a regular basis - only when I'm making holiday goodies or a wedding cake. There is a difference between Crisco brand and generic store brands. Crisco is firmer compared to too soft store brands and it is whiter in color. Often store brand shortenings are an off-white which can really affect the color of a buttercream frosting or royal icing. I'm not a name brand girl by nature, but I've learned through experience that Crisco shortening is the best on the market.
