cheddar love, good mouth feel, crisp but not too hard texture,
To each their own, but I really like these Farmhouse Cheddar crackers. I have enjoyed various Simple Mills products, and not because I am on any special diet. I simply like the ingredients, quality, and flavor. Some more than others. With these cheddar crackers I like them a whole lot. I am a big fan of cheese-its, and I am pleased that these give me that vibe w/o sticking annoyingly to my teeth and being totally empty calories. I mean, I will still buy those, but I am reaching for these when I dont want a junk snack, or when I want to add some to meal. Looking forward to trying them in tomato soup! Firm and crispy yet has good "give". Not as flaky/powdery as cheese-its, but not as hard and crunchy like some plain almond, or worse, rice crackers can be. Has good mouth feel. I like that the size is similar to cheese-its, but just a tiny bit bigger in that I can pair it with a dip. I had a hankering for some cream cheese, and these worked so well. I didnt have to smear the cream cheese on with a knife, I could sorta cut into it with the cracker. I dont rate on price. I bought them, right? We all have different needs, budgets, preferences, needs, prices fluctuate, etc. I do look out for sales. Even without a sale, I will purchase these again.

UPDATE
UPDATE DO NOT BUY ON SUBSCRIBE & SAVE OR EITH OTHER PRODUCTS - PLACE A SEPARATE ORDER FOR THESE Below is my review of the Sun-dried Tomato & Basil crackers. Because I'd had such great luck with those, I ordered some Farmhouse Cheddar flavor as well. They were a bit stale tasting, though the expiration date was a couple of months away. I thought it was just a bad batch so I ordered using Subscribe & Save (pkg of 6 boxes) and they arrived today. Half of them were smashed to smithereens due to Amazon warehouse packaging. When I say smashed, I mean 2 were packaged under a box of 12 cans of Wild Planet tuna (an excellent buy!) and squished so thoroughly that the foil packets inside the boxes burst open and the crackers were all crumbled in the bottom of the shipping box! The 3rd squished box was packed under a 4 pack of canned ravioli (don't judge - I keep it on hand for power outages and hurricane season because it can be opened by pull tab and eaten cold). While the inner pouch had not burst in this one, the box was completely flat and the crackers were reduced to tiny pieces and crumbs. The other three boxes had smooshed corners, etc but I think the content are basically okay. The moral of the story is buy the well priced multi packs on their own and do NOT buy on Subscribe & Save or to be shipped with anything else. You don't save that much in these with S&S even if they arrived in edible condition. Delicious and a Great Buy Simple Mills are my favorite crackers! They are sooo much less expensive on Amazon. These sell at my local stores for double the price per box and are seldom on sale. So much savings - I added them to my Subscribe and Save and ordered some to hold me until then! I already knew I loved the crackers, so my biggest concern was freshness. My worries were groundless. I ordered them yesterday and received them today (Sun 4/30/23) with a Best By date of 9/3/23 -about 2 months longer than the box I just bought from my local store. They are crisp, fresh, and with almost NO breakage! So no downsides at all - bigger selection, better price, fresher AND almost no broken crackers! All the flavors are delicious - all are great alone for snacking like the Cheddar, some are also great for adding flavor to a bland accompaniment like Sundried Tomato (eat with hummus or cheese) and some are versatile enough to go with a bowl of soup like the Sea Salt. I have eaten low carb and keto for a long time and these are a huge convenience. Making crackers isn't my idea of a good time! I'm also gluten sensitive (I've never been tested, but I would even say at least gluten intolerant) and these cause no issues with almond flour as the main flour. They do have some cassava (manioc) flour and tapioca starch, so not the strictest keto, but in small amounts. It's one of the few trade-offs I'm willing to make for convenience.

Tasty GF cracker
Tasty GF snack. I prefer the taste of a comparable nut-cracker cheddar GF brand. Kids enjoy too. Seem to stay fresh. Not crumbly. Fairly salty but a cracker so as expected.

Toddler approved!
Love these that they are clean ingredients and my toddler likes them, so a great alternative to cheeze it's crackers. I love the ingredients are simple and clean with no natural flavors, which i try to avoid. I believe the overall quality and texture is great since my almost 3 year old approves of them. I'm not sure, or too concerned of the carb content and I don't believe them to be too addictive, as the ideas for reviews suggest. Lol anyhow I approve because of the clean ingredients, though lacks nutrients on the nutrient label but still better alternative to cheeze-its and the ingredients for those. Plus it's toddler approved by my toddler.

Not sure why I can't get the correct flaver shipped to me
I've tried a lot of different gluten free crackers, and these are the closest thing you're ever going to get to a regular cracker without adding a bunch of gluten replacement junk. I've tried the Rosemary and the plain Sea Salt, both of which are pretty good. The rosemary crackers are by far the best, but they are extremely addictive so I've only been getting them for special occasions. The package says the box has 4 servings, but I've only managed to get about 2. The crackers themselves are crispy and flavorful. They have more of a wheat cracker like texture than rice crackers, but aren't as hard as ancient grain/seed crackers like Mary's Gone Crackers. Some of the crackers in the box look a little burnt and are a little dry, but they still taste fine. The sea salt flavor is just ok. They aren't as flavorful as the rosemary, but I crumbled some up in a bowl of soup and they added a nice crunch with a kind of buttery flavor. The only reason I even have the plain sea salt crackers is because Amazon has messed up my order twice now. I ordered the rosemary crackers and received sea salt, then initiated a return with a replacement and received the sea salt flavor again. I checked my order and I clearly ordered the rosemary crackers, so now I give up. I don't know what I have to do to get the correct flavor, but I'm not interested in receiving the wrong flavor for a 3rd time so I'll just keep the sea salt flavor for anytime I just want a plain cracker. The biggest reason for giving this 3 stars instead of 5 though is the cost. Yeah, the crackers are pretty good and the ingredients list is cleaner than most crackers (with the exception of a few brands of rice crackers that don't use starches like tapioca). I just can't justify the cost though. If the package was bigger, maybe. I do understand that organic food made with nutrient dense ingredients is going to cost more. I do a lot of organic shopping due to a chronic health condition and am prepared to pay more for everything I eat, but the price of all the products from this brand is just unreal (that goes for the pricing I've seen at Amazon, grocery stores, health food stores, and basically everywhere I've seen them). I've seen the ingredients list and there's really nothing all that difficult to produce, it's just using better quality ingredients. For the size of the box and even with the higher quality ingredients I would still only expect to pay a little more than half of the current retail price of these crackers (which would still be pretty expensive crackers when you consider how small the servings are).
