Excellent, saves money in the longrun!
I was skepetical about this products claims, and didn't want to review until having some lasting impressions. There are some things about this product I found difficult, mainly pre cleaning the windscreen. I have used rainex for years prior to this. Rainex was the reason I wanted to try this, the smear on the wipers with light rain at lower speeds and the difficulty seeing in lowlight with light reflecting on the windscreen. The instructions state you must clean the glass properly before applying, I can only assume those who've reviewed the product and not done so did not do this. I applied this to my car (volvo s60 MKII) in november last year (2011, type of review aug 2012), I have to stay the product does last, I do a fair amount of milage, and did not expect it to last 12 months, I will admit its not as good as when first applied, but it still does a brilliant job, I used to use the rainex 2 in 1 windscreen cleaner every week before, now i've just cleaned the glass about once a month since using this stuff. Saying that, on my partners car, a Fiat Grande Punto, it seemed to last around 3 months or so, applied at the same time as mine, however, the wipers on the fiat tend to stay on after the rain stops, i'm assuming wiper blades constantly wiping a dry screen doesn't help, also, she is a huge fan of ice scrapers, and we had a pretty frosty winter. I always use cold water to get the ice off my own car and never have the wipers wiping dry glass. I applied the product to both cars on the same day, cleaned both windscreens the same. I would say its either the quality of the glass used or the way the windscreen is maintained that directly affects longetivity. For what its worth I also had duxback treatmeant applied to both of our cars a year earlier, lasted around 6 months on mine and 2 on the punto. To me this product is far more impressive than duxback, but maybe longetivity is dependant on the glass? I have noticed there is a huge difference in quality in windscreens between different car makes, i'm not sure if this affects this product, but I worked as a valeter for over a year, and I was constantly shocked at how some of the 'quality' cars had very poor quality glass fitted, might be worth taking into consideration when reviewing this product. Finally, I would not recommending this product on the side windows, personally I find it very hard to see out of the side of the car at very slow speeds, ie, parking. Although I noticed many others prefer this on the side windows, so each to their own on this one!

Is it as good as claimed?
Having owned a Volvo with water repellent side windows and changed to a newer Volvo without this feature I thought I would give this a go. So far not overly impressed as, despite the claims, it does not dispel the water in the way that the Volvo treated windows did. I'll be giving it another coat (weather permitting) but I have my doubts that it is as good as claimed. Time will tell.

It is better than any other rain repellent coating I've used
This is the second time I've bought this having used it for 2 years on my car. Application: You get a small amount but it is enough to apply to your windscreen twice or more depending on the size. Putting it on needs a little elbow grease as you have to rub it on then polish it off. Not difficult or time consuming but it does tend to dry smeary at first depending on how much effort you put into polishing the screen afterwards but this will go away after you have used your wipers a few times. Performance: It is better than any other rain repellent coating I've used. You will see the water beading up when it rains and if you are driving at ~30-40mph or more the water beads will roll up your windscreen out of the way. If you are only driving in town 30mph or less, it won't be as noticeable or useful. Visibility is greatly improved, the faster you are going the faster the rain runs off so at motorway speeds this stuff really shines. Should I ever have a problem or malfunction with my wipers on the road I feel confident that this product would allow me to safely see while I get out of traffic. Added benefit, is that cleaning off dead bugs in the summer is easier often just a wipe with a wet cloth once.

High performance - No!
I applied the product exactly as outlined and had great hopes for it. First time out in the rain it formed into a barrier of tiny droplets totally obscuring the windscreen. I had to use the wipers to clear it (defeats the purpose of the product?) and over a wet 300 mile drive at mostly motorway speeds there was no sufficient beading to even attempt at clearing the screen and I had to continually use the wipers. On the same car, same wet journey a while back the wiper motor linkage came adrift so I was left with no wipers. (Well, the car is 30 years old) I grabbed a bottle of Rain X from the motorway services, literally slapped it on with no preparation and I completed the journey in the wet with no wipers at all! I purchased the Enduroshield as I had used up the last of the Rain X .... big waste of money. I'll stick to the Rain X in future. It may not last too long but it does what it is supposed to.

Not bad! Bit of a con?
Got this delivered late and slapped it on asap. Seems okay but nothing special. Did every car window, mirrors, lights and its okay. I find the back window and side windows are covered in little water droplets and obscure your vision in the morning. So you are forced to wipe it off before driving! Its supposed to form beads of water that roll down and away?? Nope! You have to wipe it away so defeats the object!! My advice, buy the cheapest one or NON at all as simply a con!

Water beads and blows away
Very impressed with this, used it on my front windscreen and it really made a difference, Walter beads and is blown off the screen. On a negative side when the wipers are on they leave a 'ghost' streak behind which takes about 1 second to disappear. Also sometimes it squeaks but I can cope with those minor annoyances I used it on the rear screen of my car also and I have no rear wiper, this improved my vision hugely as again the water would bead and blow off.
