I don't know why there were so many bad reviews. Most were for the controller not working. You have to make sure the batteries are put in, the small card put into the system and have the hdmi plugged in correctly. Also, there is a switch on front of controller that turns it on and off. Yes, some of the games are labeled incorrectly but if you look at the picture of the game as well you will figure that part out. Yes some of the wording is in Japanese but it does not affect the game playing. I am reliving my childhood playing Mario, Milipede, Pac Man and Mrs Pacman, Donkey Kong and so many more I have yet to dive into. There are many I don't play but there are a ton I do play. Every great once in awhile it might freeze but you just restart it. No big deal! I love it and recommend it to everyone! :)

Graphics are poor and many games fail to load. Not good cy any means, but I read the reviews and rolled the dice... Was a cheap gamble, but I would not buy these again. I tossed it 2 days in.

Would definitely buy this again

This was awesome and upsetting in some ways. Some of the Genesis games were stuttering so I had low expectations of it's ram and performance. But then it played the Playstation and arcade games like a champ. So maybe it was poor emulation in some cases. But in some cases it emulates better than a raspberry pi. I'd say some games are amazing and some stutter with audio issues. It's a mixed bag, but at least it's cheap. There is emulation consoles that cost more than this that perform worse. The controllers are super cheap. These things are bad. I don't know if you can connect other bluetooth gamepads to it, I'll try. And the gamepad buttons were already pre set which was nice. If you want a quick plug and play retro console under 50$ here you go.

this system is terrible, the picture is awful and the games don’t work it just kept giving us a message saying “ insert coin “ WASTE OF MONEY AND TWO DISAPPOINTED KIDS

my son liked it. He wanted to play some of the older games from when I was young and I was able to let him do it without much cost.

The right toggle switch and the right shoulder buttons are messed up on both controllers. Can't play alot of the games
