Unit was missing hardware so had to go to the store to buy the adapter to hook up water hose. Flow rate is closer to 3.5 GPM which is disappointing because I have a lot of water to heat up for my above ground pool and I purchased it because of the higher advertised rate.

Update 06/26/2025: I dropped this review down to a four star. 24 hours after I had installed it I had a leak from the shower hose. It was a usual pain to contact Amazon, going through the”bot” help and then trying to avoid a full return just replacement hose part. I finally was given a contact to the retailer who requested pictures. I was unable to send even a small video to clearly show the leaking area. They did send me a replacement part which was plastic. And tightening was not successful in stopping the lead completely, though it had largely improved (yes hand tightening and with teflon tape). However, when I continue to tighten the faucet hose onto the water heater, it broke. I have decided not to contact them again as likely it will be the same low quality replacement. Instead, I have bought an all steel faucet hose that would be 7 foot long instead of the short 4 foot and we’ll see how that goes. The one star drop is not for the customer service, but because the faucet hose was flimsy. Please make sure that you carefully hand tighten though, even that did not prevent the plastic nut from breaking. I am still pleased with the heat generated, and the unit itself appears to be good. it is being used regularly to rinse off before and after the pool and as this is summer in Florida it is on the very lowest Saturn and still produce decent warm water. Was still recommend at set plan to swap out for a longer a more durable faucet hose. ====== Too early to tell about longevity. I received this and was able to set it up outside next to my pool quickly. Only downside is that you have to get a 1/2” G Thread (BSP) Female to 3/4” GHT Male Connector adapter so as to use it on your garden hose. Also the shower head holder packaging was a little difficult to remove and did not come with mounting screws. It blows all the solar water heater options out of the water. We have had two popular types and after a couple gallons of use maybe one or two people would have warmish water and the rest suffer. This is on demand- as soon as the water starts to flow, the heat kicks in. The temperature adjustment is easy. The LED read out is great. The flow rate is excellent just like an indoor shower. I used quick connect fittings to my outside faucet and hung it up on part of my trellising for a raised garden next to my pool. I do not plan this as a permanent amount as I’m not sure how waterproof it is especially in Florida rainy weather and it would hardly be used in the winter. I may build a stand with a waterproof box depending on how often we use the pool this summer as I do not wish to mount it on my house walls. For camping and portability, I will probably attache a handle- it is not heavy or overly bulky, but it’s inconvenient to move with other equipment. After I disconnect the hose, it would be nice to not have to also disconnect the gas, but hold it via a handle in one hand and the gas tank in another. It has impressed my spouse with the ease of use and I’ll update this review with some videos if it continues to function well.

I’ve had it for just about a year now and about a month ago it has developed a start up probably does not like to ignite takes many tries to ignite or I end up giving up but I’ve looked online and cannot find any fixes or bypasses for this issue
