Great kit! Clear instructions and the video helped a lot. I do not recommend this kit for beginners (I have been crocheting for 3 years and some elements were still a little tricky) but it is overall an excellent kit!

Great kit, and I may have enough leftover yarn to make a second. Used beads to weight the base of the pot, and instructions weren’t always clear but the videos made up for it. I’m a beginner and found this a nice and fun challenge!

I bought this kit to make as a gift for a family member in the hospital, and for my purposes it worked out well. However, while each individual element isn't complicated, it all adds up to a project that would be extremely challenging for someone brand-new to crochet. I would recommend waiting to start this project until you are comfortable with basic stitches and can easily identify their anatomy. PRO: * For almost every material—with the notable exception of green yarn—a lot more was included than the finished pot of flowers ended up using. * The video walkthrough of the project was extremely helpful (and, indeed, some sections would have been nearly impossible to complete without it). * I'm happy with how the finished pot of flowers turned out. I think it looks cute and cheerful, and I'm glad I can gift something handmade without having to hunt down a bunch of little bits of different colored yarn myself. CON: * You're not given a gauge or expected dimensions for anything, which is a real problem when you're working off a kit that has a fixed amount of materials. I got almost all the way through crocheting the pot before realizing my tension was way too tight, and I had to frog it and start over. * This is literally the splittiest yarn I've ever worked with. I have no idea how many stitches I had to rip out or attempt multiple times because my hook missed a strand. * There almost wasn't enough green yarn for me to finish; after wrapping the last flower, I came away with just ~35cm (about a foot). If I'd been cutting the stem-wrapping bits to a full meter as suggested, I would have definitely run out. I likely also would have run out if using a 2.5mm hook as suggested by the instructions (I used my own 2.25mm hook for the entire project.) This seems to be a common complaint, so I would suggest that the manufacturer reexamine how much green yarn is being included, because something is very off. * Some of the instructions are written in confusing ways, though this is mitigated by the videos. The addition of a stitch diagram would have been useful. * While the video for the leaves is complete, the written instructions are not, and they also differ slightly at the very end. * The wire for the leaves is uncut, and there are no instructions about how long each piece of wire should be. * There are no clear directions for how much to stuff the pot. * The finished pot would greatly benefit from a heavy weight in the bottom to make it more stable. Stuffing it enough that it felt firm also rounded out the bottom, leaving it a little precarious.

These turned out so cute! Easy to do, directions and videos helped quite a bit. There was more than enough yarn and wire in case there are any oops!

I lowered my rating from 3 stars to 1 star. One of the yarn colors was so frayed that it was completely unusable. Amazon said they would send me a replacement kit at no charge so I could have the color. I have now been charged for the replacement kit and I still haven't been able to complete the kit. The hooks are very small for a beginner and the yarn is very cheaply made. There are better kits out there for learning and, while pricier, have a much better quality product. Original review: I have been a knitter for 35 years and recently took up crochet. This is not something a true beginner, such as myself, can follow. You need more than a basic understanding of stitches and how to read a pattern. The videos, while helpful, are interrupted by the usual YouTube advertisements if you don't have a premium account. I would expect that when I pay for something the videos would also be ad-free. Lastly, while it is a complete kit, the yarn is very low end. It separates easily and is quite difficult to use without overworking it. I would say if you are an intermediate to advanced crocheter, this is worth buying just for the very cute pattern but I would suggest upgrading the yarn. I will update this review once I am able to complete the project.

This came out nicely and looks better than I expected. I'm not the best at crocheting, but have made teddy bears and other animals. This turned out to be much more difficult than I expected. The pattern isn't easy to follow. The yarn is just plain terrible. It splits much too easily and made the project much harder. It would be helpful to have a gauge for stitch size. My stitches for the pot were too loose and the pot is bigger than it should be. I couldn't get the flowers to stand up in the pot and I think the wire for those should be a bit sturdier. But maybe there's a trick for that which I didn't know about. But overall, now that it's done, I'm happy with my project. Just know, this is absolutely NOT a beginners project.

Made this for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it! Its very easy to use and the tutorials helped a LOT. At first I was afraid that the yarn would run out or all would be used up but theres enough leftover that I was able to make other small things! The colours were very accurate, and the contents of the kit such as the hot glue and sticks for the stem was quite sufficient! I had so much fun making this as a young adult, so im sure this would be fun for kids as well.

I loved this kit. I’m an intermediate crocheter, but I did use the qr code video link to clarify some of the instructions. I did spend a lot of time arranging and rearranging the finished flowers in the pot. I ended up cutting down the stems quite a bit to make it work for me. Yarn is not the best quality. It unravels easily, but my expectations for a kit on Amazon were not overly high on this part. Just be careful and go slow with stitches, and it will be fine. Overall fun little project that is going to be a gift.
