My Pentium4 2.53GHz computer has had a similar Intel cooler/fan atop the CPU since I built the system years ago. The fan became noisy, so I purchased the MASSCOOL as a replacement.The MASCOOL fan is quite, the finned aluminum cooling block comes with thermal paste pre-applied, and installation is very easy due to the included metal clips.PROBLEM: My system kept shutting down after 3 or 4 minutes of run time. Apparently, the MASCOOL cooling block is not actually contacting the CPU as it should. My computer's voice prompt CMOS kept saying, "System will shut down due to excessive CPU temperature" (or words to that affect), and then it shut down.Upon removing the unit, the pre-applied thermal paste appeared completely unmarred, indicating that the underside of the cooling block did not actually contact the CPU as it should.I reinstalled the original Intel cooler/fan, and the computer is running normally again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Performs well. *by S***B on Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2014* I purchased this fan to replace one that had failed.
