Current limiting thermistor, NTC
Works great but, generates heat dependent on current. I glued Aluminum foil on nearby wood of stereo cabinet. At one Ampere, it eats about 3 Volts after warm up. Room temp Resistance varies, always above 47 Ohms until, current is turned on. Saves tubes by reducing inrush current.
