## Overview

3M Tape Primer 94 is a professional-grade adhesion promoter designed to enhance tape and vinyl bonding on challenging substrates like polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS, and PET/PBT blends. It dries clear in 5 minutes, can be applied via brush or spray, and is ideal for automotive detailing and industrial use, ensuring durable, flawless adhesion across multiple surfaces.

## Description

3M™ Tape Primer 94 can be used to improve the overall adhesion of tape, film and vinyl graphics to polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS, PET/PBT blends, concrete, wood, glass, metal and painted metal surfaces. Dries in Minutes for Efficient Use Make sure your surface is clean and dry before applying a thin, uniform coat of 3M Tape Primer 94. The primed surface must remain off from contaminants prior to applying the tape. It's important to use the minimum amount of product necessary as over applying can cause sub-optimal results. Allow the primer to dry completely, which is usually accomplished in 5 minutes at room temperature, before applying tape. Special note: porous surfaces may require 2 applications for uniform coverage and good adhesion. Allow your first application of primer to dry before applying a second coat. Recommended Applications: Promote adhesion of 3M VHB Tape, For use on many plastic, rubber, painted and bare metal substrates. Application Tips: 3M Tape Primer 94 may be applied with a brush, swab, pressurized flow gun, knurled roller or similar type of equipment and can be removed with isopropyl alcohol. Vigorous scrubbing may be required.

Review: Powerful - I have not used it yet but from what im told very good and the fumes are dangerous. There is a #110 im tokd which os not as strong so the fumes are less powerful but this one i heard grows hair on the chest but it works
Review: the superior 3M primer for EVA foam marine decking - Get this quart size instead of the pint! I used this for adhering EVA foam to the gelcoat deck of a boat. If you have any form of nonslip molded into the deck you are covering, you will need a lot of this adhesion promotet product to cover the extra surface area of molded non-slip. It's held up very well after a year, and this 3M #94 product seems to have worked much better (and lasted longer) than the spots where I used 3M #111 primer after running out of 3M #94

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Holds vinyl in the most crazy spots
*by D***F on October 29, 2025*

Excellent for vehicle wraps on fenders or rocker panels. Dries quickly. Remember that once you put the vinyl on the primer, do NOT pull it back up. It's a one-and-done.
