Genuinely one of the nicest pens I've owned. Nicely weighted, writes nicely. Has an expensive feel to it for a bargain price

Parker pens might have something of a 'perfect for the older person' image problem thanks to Michael Parkinson and those life insurance advert giveaways. However, truth be told, Parker have always made some really rather nice pens in the mid-range priced sector of the market. Sure, a rollerball is a rollerball (regardless of price) if all you are looking at is whether it lets you write or not. If you want something that is going to last, rather than a disposable item, then for this older gentleman (is early 50's older gentleman territory these days?) Parker hits the spot. This is your genuine article, not some cheap far eastern clone. The packaging is impressive if you are giving this as a gift, but I'd have preferred a blister pack option to keep the waste down if I'm honest. The pen itself is a delight to hold; perfectly balanced in the hand if you ask me. Although I am a professional writer (a veteran technology journalist and author with some 30 years in the business now) my work-a-day writing tool is, sadly, the keyboard. So it's really nice to have a 'proper pen' for when I'm jotting down notes, writing poetry for my partner or even making a shopping list. There have been some complaints in the reviews that the rollerball ink flow is patchy, especially at the start of writing. However, I don't find this to be the case. The supplied Parker 'Quink' fine black refill behaves exactly as I would expect it to and, again, is a delight to use.

Quite a nice rollerball pen, has some weight to it, but I like it. Cap opens really smoothly, which is satisfying. Amazing finishes both on lacker and steel. However, refill came damaged, there is a visible dent with small ink spill coming out of it. Since, the pen will be used as a present, I will have to buy a new refill.

Have started doing a bit of writing and haven’t had a rollerball for a while. This is nice to hold, writes well being a Parker and looks great and classy in black and gold trim.

Delivery was prompt and packaging was appropriate. Months ago I was given this pen to sign something and was very impressed with how it felt in my hand and how it wrote. Unfortunately the owner wanted it back but did tell me the make. I have been looking for this pen since and was delighted to see it on sale on Amazon. Excellent value for a decent Parker pen.

I love the pen! I had to buy a second one for my wife because she liked mine so much and was always borrowing it. The pen is nice and hefty. I love writing with it.

Sehr schöner Stift. Liegt gut in der Hand, mit der aufgesteckten Kappe ist er richtig schön ausbalanciert. Schnelles und sauberes Schreiben ist kein Problem. Der Stift ist schön griffig, so dass man auch bei längerem Schreiben immer alles im Griff hat. Wichtig ist auch noch zu wissen, dass die mitgelieferte Mine einen Schutz gegen Austrocknen hat. Das bedeutet, dass man eine kleine Wachskappe erst wegschreiben muss, damit es so richtig flüssig schreibt. Ansonsten kratzt es und das Schriftbild ist unsauber. Aber wie gesagt: Das ist normal.
