Tears? Not Anymore - Just Smiles and Progress!
My child never struggled with writing, but his letters were all over the placeโcapital and lowercase mixed up, uneven sizing, and inconsistent placement. Handwriting Without Tears was exactly what we needed to turn that around. The programโs simple, step-by-step approach helped him understand where letters โliveโ on the line and how to make them the right size. The visual cues and repetition really workedโand best of all, he enjoyed it! No stress, no boredom, just steady progress and neat writing. If youโre looking for a clear, gentle way to teach handwriting fundamentals like spacing, sizing, and letter formation, this is hands down one of the best tools out there. By the end of the program, his writing had improved drasticallyโneater, more consistent, and so much easier to read. Highly recommend!

Great graphics to easily teach your kids how to properly form letters
Weโve used these books by Handwriting Without Tears for 3 kids and have loved them every time (aside from one exception). They teach exactly how to form letters, with fun graphics to the proper way: โslide down and upโ with a picture of a slide, โmagic cโ, bump the line like bumper cars). Theyโre the perfect small portions that arenโt too overwhelming. We usually do two pages a day. I used this yellow book for my 1st grader and it was just right. My older kids have gone through all the books. The only one I really disliked from this company was the cursive book - itโs terrible and doesnโt teach cursive with the correct slant that you need for flow, plus they added weird flat lines between letters than my son tried to imitate, plus the mโs and nโs are very confusing. Choose Cursive Logic instead. But for printing books, I love this brand!

Improving handwriting
I used a different handwriting book before this one for my child. Based on other parents recommendations I decided to try this one. Its not like other books where there are three lines to write so that threw my child off. He still has trouble understanding where to write and sometimes I get confused how to teach him the way the book says. I believe theres a teachers guide to go with this book? I did not buy it but it might have helped us both. Regardless, we will finish this book and learn some new things along the way

Great tool for early writers
This writing book has been a fantastic tool for my 1st grader. It teaches letter formation in a clear, sequential way, starting with individual letters and gradually building up to words and full sentences. The lessons are quick and approachable, making it easy to stay consistent without overwhelming my child. The layout is very child-friendly, with engaging prompts and just the right amount of practice on each page. Highly recommend for early writers!

Homeschool Writing for autism
I homeschool my kids and one has autism. This book breaks it down so easy for both of them. It was easy for me to guide my autistic son what to do. After a couple repetition he was able to figure out what he needed to do. I was able to observe which letters he was struggling with and why he was unable to write words in the correct format. I recommend this book if you have a struggling one.
