I bought this to use as a power source for a micro USB charging power supply for a bluetooth transmitter/headphones for my bedroom TV. I am a notorious insomniac & watch TV at all hours thru the night. I use headphones so the TV volume does not bother my roommate. My TV does not have bluetooth, so I bought the transmitter to eliminate headphone wires. Problem was, there was no way to keep the transmitter charged, aside from plugging it into my TV's USB port, which was OK, but then it only charged the TV was powered on. There's not an outlet near where my TV is located to plug the transmitter's charger in so it can charge while the TV is powered off, so that is where this comes in .I like that this is on the smaller size because my TV stand does not have a lot of room for a bunch of cables/plugs or much of anything else for that matter. This fits well & the cord is more than long enough to reach the outlet. There are only 3 sockets, but I have no need to plug anything else in right there. So...problem solved.If there was one negative, I would have to say I wish this had a micro USB plug(s), but most everyone has a ton of micro USB chargers laying around pi under from other devices these days, so it was not a big deal.Happy with this purchase & would recommend this to anyone who just needs a basic extra outlet.

This was the perfect cord for extending power to a Christmas tree against a wall with no outlets. The brown fades into the wooden floor and baseboards well, so it isn't obvious. I got a cloth cord over a cheaper plastic cord because those plastic ones tend to get gummy over the years. The 8-foot extension was just right for getting behind a corner cabinet with enough length left to reach the window center about a meter from the cabinet. I'm keeping it there throughout the year for random needs - it blends into the background against the oak floors and teak cabinet.I was originally looking for a cord with a surge protector, but they all have large chunky ends. In the end, I decided a better solution is to get a surge protector outlet cover (the box-shaped one that plugs into both outlets and turns 2 into 4-6 outlets), and plug the extension into that: Surge protection, small plug end.
