This came with the adapter that plugs into the back of the Wii and an HDMI cable. Plugged it in, selected the input on the TV and perfect results, just as good video and audio as the component cables I had been using before. This was as easy as could be to set up and gave my Wii new life with my new TV. Unfortunately the auto detection feature on the TV does not see it as the Wii (compared to Xbox or other devices which are named) but that is to be expected with an older device and certainly not a fault of this adapter.

Easy installation, worked as described! Did have a moment when unit states it could not read disc, finally put disc in unit upside down and worked perfectly! My Wii is about 25 years old. Thank you, enjoying playing tennis again!

This little device is well made and works as advertised. It actually downgraded the picture quality in my case. Using a 2017 Samsung 4K TV. If I use the OEM A/V adapters with the usual Wii cable, the Samsung appears to try to upscale the image... Or the image is blurry enough that it appears smoother on the big screen. With this unit in place, it appears to be a harsh analog to digital conversion. The TV picks it up as 480 on the HDMI and doesn't touch the signal. I saw less contrast and saturation. I also could now see every pixel clearly. The edges sort of have a mosaic. This is really the fault of Nintendo for putting the Wii out without HD... Or our fault for playing old games on a big TV these days. This product works great. If your tv can't take A/V inputs, get this. If it can, use those.

I haven't been able to play the wii at all since getting a new tv. But it works with hdmi now. Its great

Item was exactly what I needed to get my old Wii system to life for my grandkids. Easy to install with my new smart tv.
