This is a beautifully comfortable handle. I use it all the time. However, I did not need another hobby knife. I bought it for the blades. The saw blades. They are not true saw blades and do not work as so. Maybe Im the ignorant one. Idk.

Blades are really flimsy. Best not to be used with anything stronger than cardboard.

All the sawblades are laser cut to look like saws. They are not sharp. The working edge is "scalloped" like a serrated knife without an edge. They are not hardened and bend. The teeth are square and do not "bite" into the work. The longest blades are thinned at the teeth causing the blade to jam in the "kerf" after penetrating 1mm. The handle is the only part of thos kit that is usable, but will NOT accept a typical hobby sawblade with a round shank. It amazes me how good these look and how poorly they perform. Bad engineering, the blades do not CUT but tear anything wood and are useless on soft metal. The handle is not symmetrical and the blade has to be manually "clocked" into position for the handle to be comfortable. Bad design. Deceptive description. Buy something better at your LHS. WASTE OF MONEY!

Purchased this knife saw kit for our Christmas display which seems to get bigger every year the kit will work nicely for cutting different homemade items and the display layout,wife wants to add a four foot by six foot addition

What you are buying here is a truly well thought out handle for model crafting. This is the best craft knife handle I have seen in years. It has some heft to it while being very comfortable and very secure. It's not likely to slip in your hand making it a safe handle to use with sharp blades. The saw blades are stainless steel and not too thin. You get two each of seven shapes plus a number seven blade already in the handle. The best of a bunch I bought. If I had bought this first I might not have bought any others.

I'm giving this item 2 stars because all I can say is the handle is decent and the plastic case is good, but the blades are all but useless. They are very thin, laser cut from a piece of metal(see photo), which is the the same thickness as 4 sheets of 20lb weight computer paper. They wouldnt even cut a popsickle stick. I definately would not recommend buying this product, you will only be disappointed. I would send this back but the price is noy worth the hassle of returning it. I've wasted enough time with this product.
