Easy to make, fantastic results!
I followed the directions to cook the boba pearls. While they cooked, I made two cups of an easy simple syrup with water and brown sugar. When the boba was done, I added the pearls to the syrup (everything was cool), then put them in individual serving baggies and put them in our freezer. Our kiddos can just pull a pack out, put it in hot water for a few minutes, fill a cup with ice & milk then add the boba & syrup. It’s SO delicious, so much healthier and only cost around $1.25 per cup! This is the way we will make boba from now on. I feel better knowing my kids get the treat they love, but with much cleaner and mostly organic ingredients (all other ingredients are organic).

Great with cooking modifications
I was reluctant to try this boba due to the negative reviews, but it turned out great with some modifications to the cooking instructions (courtesy of ChatGPT). For two large drinks, I measured 1/4 cup (~4 tbsp) of the dry boba pearls. This is the procedure I followed: — Bring 12 cups of water to a rolling boil (The large amount of water keeps the pearls from sticking, cooking unevenly, or turning gummy.) — Add the 1/4 cup of dry pearls and stir immediately for 30 seconds. — Turn the heat down to a medium simmer. Simmer for 40 minutes uncovered and stir GENTLY every 3 minutes. — Turn off the heat and cover the pot. Allow the pearls to rest undisturbed for 30 minutes. — Drain and rinse with cool water for 10 seconds. Sweeten with your sweetener of choice. At the end of the rest period, I was concerned that the boba looked a little pale, but the texture was perfect and they were cooked all the way through. The instructions on the back of the bag are a bit misleading — 6 cups of water is definitely not enough for the whole bag (which apparently is 12 servings!)

Close but Not like the ones from the tea shop
I bought these because I love bubble tea but my local shop puts sugar syrup in everything and I was looking for a sugar-free alternative. I should have read better because these are made with brown sugar and had I realized that I would not have bought them. I prepared them according to package directions. First, they are clear green, not the dark color like at the shop. That’s ok, especially if it means no junk. Second, they are smaller than the ones at the bubble tea shop. I guess I can live with that, but I would have liked them to be the size of blueberries rather than the size of peas. But, the deal breaker for me, is the texture is not the same as the tea shop. The ones at the shop are chewy but these are softer. I’ll finish the ones I have but I won’t buy them again because they are smaller and have a different texture and are made with brown sugar. If I could give 3.5 stars I would, because they are not awful. But they are not the same as the tea shop, which is what I was looking for.

Great taste from healthy ingredients
I really like the flavor of the pearls they just slightly sweet and a good texture however, the pearls are really only good the day you make it. The second day they got very sticky and dry. I will try again but only cook a portion of them at a time and use them that day. Mine cooked in the instant pot. I may have left them in there an extra 10 minutes so I will be more on it next time and see if it improves the texture. All in all, it's nice to find a healthy pearl for tea.

Disappointed
This is the amount of cooked boba you will have after spending an HOUR cooking them per the instructions. Seems like more than half of them melted and disintegrated into the boiling liquid. The packaging makes it look like the big fat plump boba you are used to, only to find they are tiny in comparison. The taste is good, but the preparation is misleading and this is the money expensive boba I’ve ever made. Would not recommend

Truly better than anything else out there!
For the past two years I've tried many different brands of boba pearls and these are the best I have found so far! If you are used to KFT boba these are a little different. KFT boba pearls are more like the 5min quick cook boba that has a ton of preservatives. Better Boba is like the gourmet, fresh boba you will find at Möge Tee and other more high end boba shops. These do take a little longer to cook compared to the 5min boba but the upgrade in flavor, texture, and quality is well worth it! Plus it gives me time to make a fancier fruit tea or a matcha latte to put them into. For the quality it is also a great value. For what 2 boba drinks cost me out I can make 8+ drinks and I feel better afterwards since these don't have all the preservatives and gums that most boba does. I also feel a lot safer knowing this is made in the US.

Total Let Down
I loved the idea of a healthier type of Boba, however Better Boba was a total let down. I chose the Instant Pot cooking instructions (stove top was waaay too long) and it turned into one gelatinous boba ball. The boba itself was chewy, but edible. Please remake Better Boba!

Most Delicious Boba In The World
Honestly I had no idea how many chemicals and non-food oddities were in the average boba drink you buy out at a shop — truly shocking. But I really LOVE boba and didn’t want to give it up. Cue: Better Boba. These bubbles are OUT OF THIS WORLD INCREDIBLE!!!! So easy and fun to make — I sent pictures and videos of the cooking process to my family and it was a really fun activity. At the end I sweetened with a little maple syrup and WOW — it was so much easier to make (and clean up after) than I would have imagined. To make a boba drink I recreated a standard favorite: Black Milk Tea, with decaf earl gray and oat milk. SO GOOD! But after my boba tea was done I wasn’t, so I ate some of the fresh boba bubbles with a spoon and now have a new favorite dessert: Better Boba. Seriously, it’s that good. I want to have it on ice cream, put it in my iced coffee, and live this boba dream life every day. Tip: I’m glad I made the whole package at once because it’s helpful to standby and stir as it bubbles away on the stovetop. The second half of the boba went covered in the fridge overnight and was still good the next day. Now that I’ve had Better Boba — which has deep flavor and consistent smoothness you don’t always get at a boba tea shop — I’m planning to always have it on hand. I’m so thank this product exists. I’d buy it by the bucket-full if I could. Thank you. Thank you, Better Boba! Customer for life!
