I absolutely love this product! I got it so I can use a second and third screen plus my laptops screen when I did not have a second HDMI port, It works perfectly. This has definitely been the best purchase I've made in a while! Highly recommend!

I used this to add an extra monitor to my PC, it does 1440p 60hz just fine. No driver needed to be downloaded on win11 or anything. I do not notice any difference between this monitor and the others I have directly on my GPU, no lag or visible compression.

Worked out of the box. Had to download DisplayLink 1.3 display manager drivers. However these are easily obtained and installed. As soon as I plugged this into the USB output on my docking station and the other display directly out of the Mac and I now have 2 external devices even though this is a current issue with most recent Mac's. Great product, works every time.

I’m a regular purchaser of startech.com products. This product was purchased after a in-depth conversation with a technical support, representative from Star Trek.com. They really know their product range which is why I am a happy returning. I wanted to plug a raspberry pi4 into my Apple Cinema Display, this adapter did the job,You just need to add an inexpensive display port to mini display port cable to complete the job.

An excellent product with fantastic support from the manufacturer, increases the output from my laptop to my 4k screen. Beware though it is reliant yon the CPU to do the work so a crapo old laptop is not going to work but a resonable spec machine can certainly make very good use of this.

Works perfectly with Dell U3011. First time in last 3 years after selling off my PC, I can see a clear picture @2560x1600, not some 2048x1200 or 1680x1050 that I had to use with my Intel HD4600.

Works on Macbook Pro 2012 model. 4 year and still working great.. much needed

This product is misleading. It is not a video card and it will not miraculously increase the resolution of your external monitor. Nevertheless, it is marketed as a video card and priced as one. Overall, it is a fraud on part of Startech to sell this.

Mein privates und das Firmenlaptop unterstützen zwar USB Type c für Daten und Power Delivery, können jedoch kein Bild darüber übertragen. Um Monitor, Peripherie und Strom über denselben Anschluss mit nur einem Kabel abzudecken ist dieser Adapter perfekt. Eine Alternative zu der integrierten DisplayLink Grafikkarte existiert meines Wissens für diesen Anwendungsfall nicht.

Je me suis pas vraiment attardé sur le titre car en résumé c'est juste parfait. J'ai testé plusieurs solution pour avoir 3 écrans sur mon Mac Mini M1, avant de faire cet achat j'ai essayé avec plusieurs docking, adaptateurs en tout genre, et ce que j'avais trouvé de mieux c'était de connecter le troisième écran en passant par un soft sur un boitier prenant en charge Airplay. Certes cela fonctionnait mais avec une qualité juste passable sans compter des coupures etc... Bref j'ai fait le pas d'acheter un produit qui certes est un peu cher, mais rien à dire il est parfait, à peine branché sur la Mac Mini il a reconnu mon troisième écran, j'avais au préalable déjà installé DisplayLink, du coup rien à faire à part ajuster l'échantillonnage pour profiter des 165Hz en 1920 X 1080 qui est la résolution de mes deux écrans supplémentaires. Donc pour ceux qui comme moi souhaitent enfin profiter d'un Setup à trois écrans avec un Mac Mini M1 ou un Macbook PRO par exemple, lancez vous les yeux fermés. Bien entendu livraison rapide et sans problèmes.

Como mi iMac de 2009 se está quedando obsoleto, decidí comprar un adaptador para poder aprovecharlo como pantalla de mi nuevo PC portátil. Probé con un conversor "Kanex XD" que daba una decepcionante calidad de imagen, y después probé con este sin muchas esperanzas, pero he de decir que me ha sorprendido muchísimo, la imagen resultante es muy nítida para trabajar con programas de diseño, ilustración, o para ver pelis. Se conecta al pc por USB y al iMac con un cable (que hay que comprar, pero lo hay barato por ahí) displayport a Mini displayport. Pesa muy poco y es muy sencillo, al momento el pc envía la señal y el iMac la reconoce (alternando con la tecla F2 del imac cambias de pantalla al pc). El pc se puede poner en modo "escritorio expandido" en la configuración de pantalla, es decir, en la principal del pc tienes los iconos, el youtube, lo que sea, y en la del imac el programa que estés usando, por ejemplo. O bien tener apagada la del portátil y que sólo se vea en la del iMac. Hasta puedes tener conectada una tableta gráfica de pantalla tipo Cintiq, ya que conecta al pc por hdmi. En fin, muy muy recomendable para los que quieran darle aún unos años de uso a sus imacs viejos. :)

Easy video out for Ai server. Can't beleive I've never owned one of these. 4k usb video adapter works like a charm. Good build quality, looks clean, and I expected this thing to run brutally hot, but it hardly even gets warm. If your Windows Update is disabled, it probably won't plug and play. They do have drivers for all operating systems on the website. After quick, easy install, it really is plug and play. My GPUs are unmounted from Windows Host OS for Hypervm assignment, so no video out for Host machine. This StarTech DisplayLink saved the day, and beats the heck out of the server's on board AMI video over LAN (1080p, connectivity issues, etc, requires secondary PC). If anything, StarTech isn't charging enough for this little guy! [Psyche! ... its great but seriously guys... chill on the price, any more and I'd just buy a flippin VR headset...) Gamers beware - laggy, but perfectly good for general tasks, and great 4k video quality.
