Are these whole onion slices or have they been ground up and extruded into faux onion crisps?

Do they stay fresh for a while, since it is such a large bag?

We buy these or the French's CRISPY FRIED onions which ever is cheaper at the time and both in the 24 ounce bags and FREEZE them. As soon as they arrive they go right into the freezer. We keep a can that has a lid that used to hold the French's fried rings but only about 8 ounces I think it was. We refill that can that is also kept in the freezer drawer of the house fridge. That way we snack out of the can in the house and also have plenty the way we use them for the occasional casserole or topping for crunch on sandwiches or the like or to the side of a sandwich too or soup add. Anyway They freeze very well and they last will into a year maybe two this way. Though we enjoy them we don't eat a lot and a bag this size in our house can last upwards of a year I think the last lasted over 2 years. Couldn't find it at the super market 100 miles from our home for decent shopping so turned to Amazon. YEAH they have it. We also do not mind if they come a bit broken up as we aren't trying to impress any guests with french fried whole onion rings these really are made to be used in dishes etc or to add some crunch as a side addition. Stay safe everyone and crunch on.

in my experience you have about a 70% chance of getting a great container of these. you have a 30% chance of getting one of these containers that the batch is either way too salty or they taste stale. But when you do get a good batch they hit so well...esp in your green bean casserole or as a topping crushed up on salads.
