Liquitex 6208 Professional Gloss Varnish for Acrylic Paints, Archival Quality, Does Not Yellow, Dries Clear - 237 ml Bottle

Used this product to give a layer of protection over acrylic paints and wood. Very easy to apply, a very thin amount goes such a long way. I would say that the drying time was overnight. Great value for money. Does the job.

Lovely gloss finish , beware though and hold the painting to the light to check that the whole canvas is covered, I’ve found this out the hard way 🫣 I use two coats as I put this on evenly but also liberally. I love when the sun hits my paintings and make them shimmer. I have also purchased the flat hand brush available by liquidatex as I find this doesn’t shed . This is really quick drying too , so I waited approximately 3 hrs before second coat. Hope this helps

Liked and was glossy, but you have to be very quick and careful not to get brush lines in the varnish. I have tried a silicon spatula or sponge. Beware the sponge because it can break off little pieces which you miss till the varnish is dry.

I didn’t know a product like this existed but I bought it on a whim hoping it would gloss some weird textiles around my home and it works on basically anything I’ve tried, clay, plastic, ontop of acrylic paint. Make sure to wash brushes after applying as it will ruin them. Very thin like watery glue, not easy to get the hang of applying but use in tiny amounts, therefore it is a good price because you don’t have to use lots

I bought this for my art projects and used it for the first time the other week. I hardly used any of the varnish to cover the painting I made and after 3 coats the painting looks amazing. It’s only a small bottle but if I’m careful it will last a couple of months. Well worth the money to protect the art you take so much time to make. Easy to apply and I don’t recall any strong odours coming from the varnish either.

I've used this varnish to cover some Xmas bobbles me and my son just recently done. Usual, I read the reviews and when I used it, it did what it said it would do on the instructions. Very nice product and end result is very very good indeed. I would by again no problem.

I have been using Liquitex for a few months now following other reviews and like those I am impressed with the results. I have used a well known, slightly cheaper product before, but this is much better, plus a little goes a long way. It has been used on card, chipboard but mainly on stone. Leaves a great finish and is to present durable, some of the stones I have painted have been outdoors in all weathers. Would highly recommend.

Seca muy deprisa y,por tanto, no se pueden repasar las zonas que no queden bien a la primera.Preferible esperar a la segunda capa.Tanpoco se autonivela y es difícil que no se vean los brochazos .Tras varias capas el resultado mejora.El uso de un pincel de espuma puede evitar muchos de los problemas de acabado .

Covers nicely, dries perfectly. I use this to protect all of my acrylic paintings and have never had an issue with clouding or bubbles. Works like a dream.
