Western Digital Blue 1 TB SATA 2.5-Inch Hard Drive

Before installing and replacing my old hard drive with this one, I ran some tests. The hard drive is truly new and in perfect condition, no cosmetic and no internal damage was pressent when it came. I ran a speed test and it was quite a good speed for a hard drive. The noise level is very low, the hard drive can be very slightly heard when it is on heavy load. I am very happy with this product since no faults have occurred so far and the quality it came in. I did try to register the warranty for this product on Western Digital official website but it said that the product was already registered but I wouldn't worry about that because I believe it's due to the fact that Amazon takes care of any problems relating the warranty. I do recommend to buy this hard drive.

I have been using these drives for years. I have just bought two for two laptops this week. I was worried about potential warranty issues following some earlier reviews, but I am happy to say these registered perfectly online with WD and have a full 2 year warranty which expires the day that I bought them in 2 years time. Like many things it seems the trick on Amazon is only to buy where the seller and fullfillment is by Amazon, not some strange shopfront <UPDATE 2022> So these hard drives have been in my laptop for 3 years now and have run absolutely flawlesly. I purchased another about a year later and that is running really well too. The pair that this review is based on are 3 years old now and havent missed a beat. They have had some real heavy duty use over the first two years of their life working around 14 hours a day without issue and are still used heavily now. These have spent most of their life in a music production environment which can really hammer drives with loads of reads and writes. Buy one they are great. Dont be worried about the blue label and definitely make sure the seller and fulfillment is Amazon and not a spurious seller

This drive saved my bacon. I bought a new pc with a ssd. To save money I went for a smaller capacity ssd. I bought the Western Digital HD to store my documents and other data. Thank heavens I did as I had to reinstall windows on the ssd, so without this I would have been stuffed. It was very easy to install (though my pc helps make it easy). I had to buy sata cables. The price was right, it's good dependable storage.

The product is excellent, reasonably priced, swiftly delivered, well-packaged, works well. No complaints there, will buy again. Final stage of delivery was poorly done. Clear delivery instructions had been given, if product was not personally accepted and put within an open doorway (Covid-19). Someone knocking on their window from what looked like an upstairs flat was apparently taken to be 'personally accepted', and the parcel was left in clear view outside the front door. Royal Mail would've done a superior job.

I purchased this product to use it as a recording hard drive in ANNKE DVR kit. Installation is easy and it started working out of the box. So far no issues. Good value for money.

Good product and good price for a1tb hard drive completely slient even do that is expected from brand new drive it also has goood tranfer speeds i use it in a usb 3.0 encloser and get 120 mb transfer sped. It is very easy to install go to disk management on windows and format it and then it will work

Bought this to replace a drive in a mid-2012 MacBook PRO. Installed OK and runs quiet. Date of manufacture only six weeks ago so not a case of getting rid of old stock. Would buy from this company again.

Western Digital a generally quite a reliable brand for SATA hard drives, and I needed one to use in my old PS2 using a SATA adapter, and it works great. So far so good.

Tot zover (eergisteren in een oude laptop geinstalleerd) kan ik zeggen dat dit een goed werkende harde schijf is, die prima te installeren is. Oude drive eruit halen, de Western Digital Wd10Spzx Mobile er in steken, in het geval van de laptop waar ik de drive in installeerde, het ingebouwde drive-frame terug klikken en met vier schroefjes aan de drive bevestigen zodat er geen speling meer is (want deze drive is iets dunner dan de oude drive), bodemplaat van de laptop terug plaatsen, en klaar.

These drive are based on SMR. If you are not particular with write performance.

En general resultó que inició trabajando muy bien, se formateo a configuro con win 10, respondió sin problemas pero a los 3 meses aprox. se trabó y al reiniciar el equipo decía que no estaba el disco o que estaba dañado, se corrió software de reparación y se detectaron varios sectores dañados. No se si fue mala suerte o qué pasó.

Apesar de dificuldades de instalação (por parte do meu notebook, o cabo flet que se liga ao HD estava desconectado então fiz tudo do zero) o sistema reconheceu o HD super rápido, muito bom!
