TMD-137 Melodica - with Mouthpiece, Mouthtube and Case - Fingering Chart included (37 Keys)

Wasn't sure what to expect. I played a few video samples of a couple of melodica's and decided I liked the sound of this one over the others, (felt the others sounded more like toys, but this one sounded much nicer). also read a few reviews. People talked about certain issues with instrument so needed to check it thoroughly before gifting. It arrived 4 days earlier than expected. Opened the well sealed package to check, and the case itself was also wrapped in thin sealed plastic. Sadly I had to open this plastic as I wanted to check to make sure all was in order before I gift it. The case is really nice and sturdy and good quality with a small carry handle and a shoulder strap, again lovely quality. When I opened the case and saw the Black Melodica keyboard in it's soft surround I was very pleased. There was a small mouth piece and a long mouthpiece tube. I didn't try the tube, but easily fitted the mouth piece and gave it a little tinkle. It sounds just like on the video. lovely soft depth of sound with every note. All the keys work fine with very little effort of wind to operate. I'm really pleased with it and highly recommend this one. but will have to wait and see what the birthday boy thinks. also, I'm not purchasing any music books for this instrument only because the intended recipient has plenty and is familiar with keyboard.

Sounds amazing, all keys are in tune. I was a bit unsure about buying because of how few reviews there were, but I'm very happy with the product.

Very good value, works very nicely, produces a good sound. The notes are a bit uneven, i.e some take more blowing force to produce a sound than others; this can cause problems when playing chords.

Product is exactly how it was described and expected, how ever delivery took 10 days from Germany to Ireland.....not very good for the cost of delivery and there was a lack of tracking updates.

Wanted one of these for ages and love the sound! Only issue is that the sound can be inconsistent at lower volumes, meaning that some keys will play a note and others may not.

Very nice sound.

Because of this purchase, I can now go on to be the worlds best melodica player. Top stuff.

One of the keys sounds a bit muffled when I blow but then again it could just be my wheezy breath. Overall a great product.

​A screw is missing, and the case has some slight damage around the empty screw hole. I also had to blow harder on some notes and had to open the case to adjust the reeds. But maybe I'm a perfectionist. It was cheap, and I could play it right away. I got what I paid for.

In Erinnerung an das Markenprodukt meiner Kindheit wollte ich eine günstige Alternative für meine Neffen - eins für die Jungs, eins für mich. Falls die keinen Spaß dran haben, ist wenigstens nicht viel Geld drauf gegangen. Doch zu meiner Freude üben wir uns immer wieder mal mit voller Puste auf diesem und einem anderen Modell (werde die gleiche Rezension schreiben). Praktisch: mit dem langen Schlauch kommt fast ein bisschen Keyboard-Feeling auf. Die Tonqualität ist überraschend gut. Tolles Übungsgerät!
