gourmet plate

I love these dinner plates. They are made from almost the finest china in the Villeroy & Boch range and are therefore thin but still sufficiently robust that they can take the odd knock and survive without damage. You can probably tell from the stock photos on site, but the plate’s surface is graduated so you have one end that is slightly deeper than the other, which lends itself nicely to taking the larger components of your meal. I have found them good for Sunday lunch, beans on toast snacks or an Eggs Benedict breakfast; simply everything you serve up just looks better on these plates. Mine go through the dishwasher without any issues, other than their shape means they fit one way better than the other. Similarly, they stack in the cupboard but only one way round, easy enough, just don’t expect to stack any other plates in the same block as these. The plates are great and will look good on the table with any other white crockery, so don’t worry if you don’t have any other pieces from the Villeroy & Boch range.

I love the shape and quality of V & B china. It's expensive by general standards but it'll last a lifetime. Arrived very quickly too

Very Classy , I have 8 of these babies, they are stackable which is very handy , but I love them so much mine are on display on my dining table!! Everyone has had nice comments about these as very unusual in design! Prefer the plain range than the colours, as think they are more appealing, and will not date. Mugs are LUSH!! especialy with large party plates , look very posh on my dresser. Saving up for Bowls now! WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!!!

I have admired this design for a few years and eventually started off with 2 of these gorgeous plates. It has now become an obsession and I have 8 of these plates and 6 of all the other pieces in the set including a couple of left handed mugs. I just adore it and use it every day. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Very nice plates, the eating area seemed smaller than I anticipated, however the shape is misleading and it holds a good sized set of portions! They are quite heavy and well finished and stack nicely.

these plates are lovely. i have always looked round for nice plates like the chefs use on tv and now I have found some. they look really nice and are very good quality and came very well packaged

In diese außergewöhnlichen Teller habe ich mich richtig verliebt. Inzwischen habe ich auch wirklich 6 Stück! Jeder einzelne ist 33 x 24 cm groß, also rechteckig, im Wellendesign und ziemlich schwer, genau 955 Gramm. Hier ist die Welle deutlich ausgeprägt, schon durch die Grundform. Insgesamt handelt es sich um eine plastische Form, an der einen Seite tiefer als an der anderen und bis zu 3cm hoch. Dadurch kann man sie nur in einer Position übereinander stellen. Er verfügt über einen breiten, sehr dekorativen Rand. Die Farbe ist weiß, aber kein reinweiß. Er passt leider nicht so einfach in den Geschirrspüler, da muss man schon etwas zirkeln, aber es geht. Diese Teller sehen nicht nur edel aus, sie sind tatsächlich sehr stoßfest, kratzfest und strapazierfähig - da passiert so leicht nichts. Die Qualität, das kann ich jetzt nach längerer Zeit mit Bestimmtheit sagen, ist wirklich sehr gut! Dank der neutralen Farbe kann man sehr dekorativ mit vorhandenen Geschirrteilen kombinieren. Auf dem Tisch sehen sie einfach nur toll aus, auch wenn man schon etwas mehr Platz braucht. Diese außergewöhnliche Form sticht ins Auge, fällt einfach auf. Deshalb nutze ich sie besonders gern zu Anlässen und Feiertagen. Bis jetzt haben sie jedem Besucher ein "Ahhhh" entlockt. Die Größe des Tellers ermöglicht ein perfektes Anrichten. Alle Komponenten des Gerichtes lassen sich sauber trennen und appetitlich präsentieren. Die leichte Tiefe macht sich sehr gut zum Aufnehmen von Soße. Selbst größere Geflügelteile von Gans oder Ente stellen keine Hürde da, an Weihnachten ausprobiert. Besonders wirkt das Wellen-Design natürlich in Kombination mit den weiteren Teilen der Serie wie den Schüsseln und Platten. Dazu eine schöne farbige Tischdecke und passende Servietten und man zelebriert zu Hause das im perfekte Dinner!

Villeroy & Boch is my favorite brand of fine china. I purchased this as an addition to our wedding collection. We are going on 20 years with no chips, scratches or breaks, a testament to the durability of the new wave collection. If I could give this plate 6 stars, I would.

Ich bin erst seit kurzer Zeit ein Fan dieser Serie. Heute habe ich meine bisher sehr kleine Sammlung durch vier Gourmetteller ergänzt. Ich habe lange hin und her überlegt, ob ich die quadratischen Teller oder doch lieber die Länglichen nehmen soll. Ich habe mich für die Länglichen entschieden, da ich die Form interessanter finde. Die Oberfläche ist schön glatt und leicht glänzend. PRO: - Die Teller passen gut in eine Spülmaschine. - Die "Speisen-Liegefläche" beträgt etwa 22 x 15 cm. - Die Innenhöhe (an der höchsten Stelle) beträgt ca. 2,5cm - Die Außenhöhe (an der höchsten Stelle): ca. 3,5cm - Groß genug für Mittagessen aber auch schön für Kuchen. - Läßt sich gut reinigen. - Tolle Form. - Breiter Rand hilft beim Transport zum Tisch und ist eine praktische Besteckablage. - sehr gute Verarbeitung - Die Teller lassen sich stapeln. CONTRA: - Der längliche Gourmetteller passt nicht so gut zum eckigen Unterteller der Suppentasse. - Der Teller ist zwar "mikrowellensicher", passt aber nicht in jede Mikrowelle, da der Durchmesser mehr als 40cm beträgt. - Gewicht: Ein Teller beladen mit Speisen lässt sich zwar problemlos heben, doch man merkt schon das höhere Gewicht. - regulärer Preis Die aufgeführten Contra-Punkte führen bei mir in diesem Fall zu keinem Punktabzug, da sie mir nicht so wichtig sein. Mein Fazit: Ich finde die Gourmetteller sehr schön. Man sollte sich aber vor dem Kauf überlegen, ob die Form zu den anderen Teilen auch passt, was ich persönlich bei dieser Serie nicht so einfach finde.
