What a great ice maker. It’s perfect for mixed beverages and small social gatherings. It’s really nice to be able to move the ice maker around to where it’s needed vs the old ice bucket routine. Because this makes ice pretty quickly, it’s much better than relying on the refrigerator to make ice quickly when having a party. Plus, the size of ice nuggets give a great appearance with different bright drink colors in clear glasses. Getting it set up is a breeze. Because of the nature of the ice maker, you do need to make sure it’s sitting upright for at least 2 hours before doing anything else with this. That just gives you time to wipe it down for first use. Then, it takes just a few minutes for the first cleaning cycle, which only involves using water you’d put in it anyways. After that, follow the instructions by pouring water in and let the machine do the rest. It makes the ice pretty quickly. If you do plan on using it for a party, just be sure to set this up well in advance. The time it takes to fill the ice bucket is about 2 hours. But if you’re only making a single beverage, it makes enough in roughly 20 minutes. It’s super easy to keep it going just lifting the basket and filling with more water. You can also choose to connect it with the supplied water input if you prefer not to manually fill it with water, as you would with a refrigerator that comes with an ice maker. The ice bucket is large enough so that you can make quite a few drinks with it. It’s about one and a half pitchers worth of ice when full. If you want it to keep making ice as you go, it’s super easy to lift the basket, pour in more water to the max fill line and let the machine do the rest. When the basket is full, it’ll automatically stop making ice. But, when you start using ice again, it’ll immediately start making it again. While this keeps the ice cold for a long time and continuously makes more ice, it doesn’t keep it like a freezer would. So it’s really meant to be used for social gatherings. If you do plan on keeping the ice for a long period of time before you use it, you just need to transfer the ice to a freezer to keep it for a much longer time. I don’t see this as a problem though, because fresh ice always tastes better.

DO. NOT. PURCHASE. Have been unable to get in contact with anyone from the company for MONTHS regarding the warranty and Amazon offered $150 refund to send it back for a $300 ice maker.. My parents gifted my husband and I the Oraimo Nugget Ice Maker for Christmas and we were OBSESSED. After about 2 months of having it (Feb), it stopped making ice and the ice light and the clean light would blink together. After looking at the troubleshooting we understood the problem but began getting frustrated as we were not getting ice. We cleaned it a few times, unplugged it and have it some time, and it continued to work so we thought nothing of it. Come May It began making this HORRIBLE, loud screeching noise and was again not making ice. We noticed ice was getting stuck and freezing in the top of the ice maker however the ice maker would not stop and would get extremely hot. We would unplug it and give it time to defrost before plugging it back in however it now does it every time we plug it in even after giving it plenty of time unplugged, cleaning it, etc. We can get maybe a cup of ice before it begins to do this and we have to unplug it. We are now scared to plug it in as it gets so hot I worry about it catching fire so it has been sitting on my counter unused for months as we cannot get in contact with anyone. We have tried everything and are at a loss and for how much money it was we were hoping to get more than 5 months use out of it.

I’ve been thinking about purchasing a nugget ice maker for over a year now but couldn’t get passed the price point for the name brand. There was a nice sale going on and made this machine half the price of the name brand machine. Also, I just purchased a new house that came with an as-is refrigerator/freezer where the ice maker did not work but the freezer was perfectly fine. I decided to use this machine to make nugget ice and transfer it into the ice bin. After using this machine for two weeks I thought it was time to write a review. The ice maker is compact enough to fit on your kitchen counter and small enough to store away in any closet space. The color has a nice black mirror metal finish. There are only two buttons to worry about, the power button and clean button. The directions say to clean cycle it before using and then drain the water out using tubes that drain into your nearby sink. Refill the water and in 10 minutes it starts producing wonderful pieces of nugget ice. It’s a continuous stream of ice every few seconds until the bin fills up. Once it’s full (about every 3 hours), I transfer it to my freezer ice bin and then it continues to make more ice. I purchased this machine mid-March and on the back there is a production date of January/2023 so the machine is relatively new and has not been sitting around in a warehouse for a long time. In terms of noise, it does make some noise but I wouldn’t say any louder than your normal household microwave. I was able to repair my built-in freezer ice maker (water filter valve replacement) but I still prefer to make nugget ice and fill up the bin. Overall, I am really satisfied with my purchase and hope it will last for many years to come.

We placed our order on April 30 2024, received our product promptly and set it up with no issues. We ran cleaning cycles regularly. About 2-3 months ago, it started acting up and not maintaining ice. We began troubleshooting and emailing the company asking questions. We plugged it in after another troubleshooting attempt 6ish weeks ago and after about 45 minutes we heard the machine in the midst of a breakdown of some sort, with the worst screeching and grinding sounds. My husband and I have both emailed the company multiple times and provided our order information. No one has ever reached out to us. We loved the machine while it lasted but its life was to short to warrant a repurchase of the same brand.

I purchased this in March of 2024. It worked well for around 8 months but for the past couple months, it has been super unreliable. It has been freezing up constantly and I follow the instructions for troubleshooting the issue but it only lasts for maybe a day (usually less) before happens again. I have sent an email to the company and haven't heard back yet. If they get back to me soon and fix the problem I would be happy to change my rating as I know things happen and it is what is done about them that decides how I feel about the product. I loved the product for the better part of a year but I hope it will last longer than that after this is handled.

This product was great for about 5 months. I reached out to customer service with a great response. They offered resolution by sending me another unit within a week. It required a video and proof that I followed a set procedure showing the ice machine no longer worked. Setup the new unit and it was having the same issue in 2 months. I have reached out almost daily to customer service with no response or resolution. In fact the information on the back of the manual for customer service is no longer active (phone number) and no one responds to the email. Don't waste your money!

Works well and makes perfect Sonic ice! However, after two years, it has stopped working as it should. I have cleaned it many times, used descaler as suggested, washed out the filter, used distilled water and it will make a cery small amount of ice then stops producing ice. The machine will still run but the ice melts and if left running, will error out. Lights blink but you cannot turn the machine off or run a clean cycle without unplugging it and letting it sit for a brief period before plugging it back up. I really hate that it is no longer working because I absolutely LOVE this ice maker and the ice it makes! The ONLY thing I would change would be to have stainless steel on the inside versus plastic because algae will and does grow in it quickly during hot weather. Other than that, there were ZERO issues for the first two years!!!!

So far couldn't be happier. The ice is good quality, lasts for a good time in drinks and yes.... Is small enough to be"chewable" if that's your thing. Makes a *Ton* of ice too. Enough for many many drinks at once when it's filled to the cut off. Setup was easy as could be. Literally just remove the tape securing things,give it a quick clean, add water, plug it in and off it goes. Couple things I've seen in other reviews The noise level: -What noise? This is maybe the quietest ice maker I've ever had. The ice "not staying frozen": - Ok so no, it doesn't independently refrigerate/ keep the ice frozen ... Almost none of these small portable units do that. But if you let it fill the basket and keep the lid closed you will still have loads of ice 24 hours later. Maybe the pellets at the bottom will be a bit mushy but worst case you just dump the ice back into the bottom, and a little more water and give it 15-20 minutes and you'll have lots of fresh new ice. Oh and One last word of advice (For all portable ice makers not just this one) *USE DISTILLED WATER ONLY* in them. You will have so much less hassle and cleaning of the unit.... and really, You can get 4liters for a buck (or less) in most places which is more than enough to fill the unit a couple times. Just do it. Hard water and minerals are the #1 reason these units clog up and pumps fail, etc.

First two days it did make ice although struggled to keep it frozen. Second day started making a high pitched squealing noise and stopped making ice.

Absolutely love th is ice machine! We run if every day! Makes the best ice. Isn’t loud compared to a bullet ice machine imo. Has a soft hum noise. Of course you’ll hear it running. I looked at quite a few before I bought this one and this one had the biggest ice basket. It definitely holds a lot of ice. My family of 4 at home keep it running all day long. Makes a soft chewable round ice. Perfect pebble ice. My favourite Amazon purchase to date!

Bought it In May, loved having it, now it's leaking, not making ice, started squealing, and isn't filtering like it has in the past. I clean it out regularly, it was always left on.......and super difficult to contact seller. Amazon made it right though and gave me a refund. But don't ever buy this product.

We switched to an all fridge, so needed a handy spot for ice. Our old Fridge had a water line & you pay for a new one with the same option. Great for a waterline, and did work for the manual water as well. Works, fun shape and texture, ice tastes great, and keeps up. This is great for a family of 4-6, but may not keep up for more ice lovers than that. Tis a bit loud, but if you're keeping it in a kitchen away from a bedroom, then who cares. Highly recommend, it's been a month and we are super happy.
