Just works well. Don't use it with fluorescents

Fantastic piece of equipment. I use this for a led non dimming bulb in our lamp and on the lowest setting it is the perfect brightness for the lamp position we use it for. For convenience we also plug the dimmer into a remote switch to save fiddling behind the tv to turn it on. Have had this for around a year and it’s been great.

Stopped working one day, suspected blown fuse but when trying to open it up to replace the fuse I was met with the tightest screws i've ever seen, not common either as they're triangle. Managed to strip my screw bits and still haven't got it open. Fuses should be easily replaceable on electrical appliances! 13A rating plastered over the product page is wrong too. 1.2A max.

This product works as advertised, but if you are planning to use this for LEDs, please be aware that they have to be dimmable LEDs. If they are not, instead of dimming, they will simply flicker and flash.

Good product and value for money, need to use with dimmable bulbs.

Not the best quality and although it dims the outside garden lights it does not provide the range of lighting level adjustments that you would get from a good quality dimmer light switch

Great bit of kit. Used together with a plug in timer to automate and reduce brightness of led lights on the front of my house. Recommended.

I opted for the plug in dimmer that was priced a couple of quid more than Amazon's only other choice. I thought with it being a little more money it would be better somhow. But in fact, I was disappointed. The control knob was awkward to turn, and it stopped working in two days. I returned it and ordered the CHEAPER version - and it's far better! Much easier to use and is plainly a better piece of kit. If you want one of these, I recommend the (cheaper!) 'EAGLE' brand.
