Don’t buy for 2025 Ally Xbox Rog
Not really made well for the 2025 Ally Xbox due to the handles not able to rest on a tilt so leaves a gap and makes it unsafe for the ROG as it’s being tilted forward and not resting backwards

This is my first dock for my steam deck, and so I cannot really compare it to others. It is really well build, and high quality. The whole thing except for the fans is aluminum. The fans light up too, and I found them useful when I dock my Steam Deck for like TV. All the ports work, including SD cards. The PD had a problem at first that for some reason I received a slightly different dock, with 60 watts PD, which did not work out, and stopped charging my deck after two weeks. I exchanged it, and got the 100 watt PD, which so far had Zero problems. Overall, plug and forget it. Everything works, and with additional USB ports and specifically the fans, it turned out to be my premier choice.

Having been using this dock since late-July 2023, it has been fairly reliable aside from the fans sometimes being off-kilter and grinding against their housing (some time powered down fixes this normally), but the main downside I've found is with the HDMI port not always being reliable when attaching my ARZOPA 15" A1 GAMUT portable monitor with its HDMI-to-Mini-HDMI cable to my Steam Deck. I can confirm the fault does not lay with the A1 GAMUT or its HDMI cable by testing the monitor and HDMI cable with a docked OLED Switch, and using a Type-C-to-Type-C cable to connect the Steam Deck to the A1 GAMUT is fine; leaving the weak point to be the dock in question, or at least the HDMI port.

Fans are cooling the backplate but it does nothing with temperature or with speed of internal fan. I compared results with cheap plastic dock and everything were the same. In addition this stand is blocking ventilation hole on the bottom of the Deck. So do not recommend. Other things are good, but without fans this deck could be smaller.
