I recently used a scale away product when I noticed it had a build up around the edges. removal and reconnecting was really easy if you are lucky enough to have a good basin wrench or pliers. Add on thick tape on the outside to avoid scratching the surface. after cleaning reapply your PTF tape and reconnect. GOOD AS NEW I have added a before and after photo. It works by a simple, easy twisting motion, either clockwise or anti-clockwise. The spray function is perfect for lathering up your detergent and clearing debris from plates etc. The normal stream function is slightly aerated, which I love. The ball joint has a beautifully smooth action. Fitting the device couldn’t have been simlper. It honestly took me five minutes, and that was because I was slightly pontificating over the device as it was so simple I thought it must be wrong. I could not be happier with this. Buy it. Fit it. Can this cope with boiling water? Obviously I wouldn't try to change mode!** A: As this has plastic parts, I would be looking for confirmation from Water nymph themselves. Personally, I wouldn't put boiling water through plastic myself. You could always take a chance as there is no great financial loss if you damage it. **Q: Why does it give an option to buy monthly? How long do these last? Thanks** A: I can't understand why such a purchase option is available. I've had mine since August 2020 on a kitchen tap and has been functioning fine since and it gets used a lot, either changing direction for water or the spray pattern. The spray option got locked/stuck initially a few times, but realised not to change when dry, only when water is flowing. It still looks good too, no tarnishing etc **Q: It fits in perfectly but water leaks out from one side where it screws in at the top. I’ve used the washer. Any way I can stop this please?** A: use plumbers tape round the thread on the part that screws into the tap end (if male). If female connection, tape round the thread on the tap. You need to use as much tape as you can put on the thread whilst it will still screw into place. Wind the tape on the thread in the direction of the screwing as that helps avoid pulling off the tape as you screw. **Q: Is there a M22 (22mm male threaded) version of this? Be happy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not quite perfect, could be much better at this price. *by H***Y on 24 August 2020* I don't normally do reviews but want to for this. I've been looking for something like this for a while and at £20, which is expensive and cheap depending how you look at it, I thought I 'd give it a try, though dubious. The fitting of it is a doddle, with a spanner to remove old one and put this in its place. It functions as described and is versatile and pleasant to use, though as pointed out, it is rather restricted in the angle, but works for me. A too wider angle could accidentally allow water to shoot out of the sink. I think around 40 degrees would of been ideal, but I'm ok with this. In regards to build quality, this is where my engineering background comes into play. The solid brass description was skeptical and to me the first section is definitely a solid metal, but the larger body where the water come out from does not feel (weight, taping resonance) metal at all rather plastic and here lies another issue. As the larger second seems to be made of plastic, at full open of the tap the sound it makes is quite loud when compared to my other water saving aerator. When you have it on either flow option it is significantly louder than my previous one. This is partially to do with mechanism and build material, hence the plastic. If it was made of metal too (brass) being denser, the sound would be dampened significantly. In regards to water saving, it much less than my previous one. I guess they definitely meant, compared to a standard bubbler/aerator. The one I previously had on was a Neoperl 5 litres per minute with a silicone base (slc) to aid cleaning. This waternymph works out to about 9.5 lpm and 6.8 lpm from the two settings. Overall, its a good concept and fair build but as my title suggest could be much better for the price. The neoperl with its much more superior aerator (though only single flow type), and solid brass holder was only £6. If they made one, I would have purchased it instead with more assurance of quality.
