Stixall – Extreme Power Sealant and Adhesive – Waterproof – White – 290ml

I’ve been using Sika Stixall Extreme Power for a few jobs around the house, and it’s lived up to its name. The bond strength is impressive – it grabs quickly and holds firm even on tricky surfaces. I’ve used it to fix skirting boards, seal around pipes, and stick down trim, and it hasn’t let me down. Application is straightforward with a standard sealant gun, and it doesn’t slump or make a mess. Once cured, it stays flexible, which is great for areas that get a bit of movement. The fact that it works on damp surfaces is also a big bonus compared to other adhesives I’ve tried. It’s not the cheapest option, but you can feel the quality. For anyone needing a strong all-in-one adhesive and sealant, this is a reliable choice.

For the price point, I have been thoroughly satisfied with this product. Its medium modulus provides excellent flexibility, which was a critical factor for my extensive panelling project - it worked like a charm. The 290 PSI lap shear strength for wood-to-wood applications proved more than sufficient for the job at hand. My decision to purchase was reinforced by several positive YouTube reviews, which ultimately served as a deciding factor given the scale of my work. While I have not tested the product as a sealant, its performance as an adhesive was outstanding. Note for users: The product does have a strong odour; adequate respiratory protection (a mask) is strongly recommended during application.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Good all rounder, as you can use it for caulking and "low strength" adhesive tasks. It can skim over very fast in hot humid conditions, and is unforgiving of tooling, you've got one chance and attempt at correcting it has gone awry for me. Usually I tape to prevent excess and then if j need to bevel with a silicone caulking tool then quickly remove the tape. In very hot humid conditions the tape can catch the skin of caulk line and ruin your day. Genuinely fantastic as substitute for decorators caulk, doesn't shrink, sets to the density of firm silicone caulk, so for coving, skirting along with a few fixings and rag its amazing. Can even be capped and re used, though a caulking gun with enough oomph to power through any leak in the back of the tube is a good idea. And you may need to dig out whatever has set in the nozzle if you've cut it fair close to the tip.

Exactly as described and cheaper than others! Binds really well and comes out of the tube nice and smoothly. Creates a nice initial grab and then hardens after a few minutes. Great product

Bought this glue to stick EVA mats into damp concrete. Like most other users I struggled to dispense this with my caulk gun - my hand was tired and the gun felt like it was on its last legs. I swapped from applying a thin bead to large blobs which worked better for my needs. I found the grab a little slow but the materials being glued were both challenging. Left a few mins to cure and it worked well - this was handy because it took a long time to dispense. Pleasing results - sets a bit like silicone - sticks on your hands like silicone so wear gloves and old clothes.

Works great, highly recommend. Good value and great quality.

Great stuff for my autistic wall panels stuck very well

First time I'd tried this stuff: I usually go for silicone-based bonding, but for this particular project thought this would be better. It was. Main problem is that I wanted a thin bead along several 1.5 metre [that IS the correct spelling] lengths, but the product is so viscous it was difficult to squeeze it through the nozzle. It's ok with a larger bead though. But then I got too much and cleaning any excess is difficult - even when quite fresh it doesn't want to come off, so care is needed. I will definitely use it again.

Worked on Styrofoam to Styrofoam. Did not work as well on Styrofoam to steel. Found same results with 2 other brands from big box store.

Impossible a sortir du tube! (ouvert le lendemain de la reception du colis) Pourtant j ai un pistolet a cartouche. l application de la colle est un cauchemar... Apres, c est vrai qu elle colle bien. A voir sur le long terme...
