Very frustrating
You have to purchase the map updates I spent about 200 Canadian on this and now I have to get a subscription for another 140 Canadian? And the software to do the updates doesn’t work it killed my computer slowed it right down. I have a pretty high computer to I’m regretting getting this add on for the stinger High10.

Gotta Love Stinger
FYI - The maps purchased from Amazon are loaded with 2023 maps. Not sure if there is an update.. here is why.. I drive a 2011 wrangler. To install, you have to take the entire stinger heigh 10 out. Face and body. In order to update the maps, you have to install it FIRST. Once installed, start the vehicle and set up the maps. Then you can take it back out and update with your computer. I did not take it back out to update. It was 110 degrees and by the time I Figured all this out, I was a little frustrated. If you’re buying this pre Stinger install, hook it up and turn on the maps prior to full install. The software itself is easy to use both the maps and PC hardware. The map quality is good and contains off-road sites. Sound clarity is crisp with many voices and languages. It functions as it should!

Great idea
Sinal on GPS keeps going in and out. Going to recheck connection. I think the GPS receiver may have to be move to a higher location instead of where stinger install video said to put it. Will keep you all updated weather it works or not.

Don’t buy, it’s not updated, and extra costs money to update.
It was not updated when I bought it. I have a Mac computer and I cannot update it.

Can only be updated with Windows
I use a Mac and was surprised to see that you need a windows computer to run the application that updates the map card. I plugged it in without any updates and the speed limit is wrong in places that had recent construction. I don’t mind because I primarily use Apple CarPlay and its maps. I got this GPS nav as a backup because I’m very outdoorsy and go off grid a lot, and wanted to make sure I can always find my way around. This is good enough to keep me out of trouble, and that’s all I need.
