I even had some space problems on a Volvo FM12. Typically of filter straps, once it soaks up some diesel or oil, it'll be more prone to slipping. Annoyingly this particular design is more likely to mash up a filter than straps designed for a ratchet as you're using the filter itself for leverage. I did have this happen and had to use a (co-workers) filter socket however the filter was absurdly tight. The positives are: it has a lot of leverage; it's affordable; it'll fit nearly any filter out there.
