Compatible and Reliable
Bought these based on price and I am totally satisfied. Works as well as Salonpas and other 4% Lidocaine brands, including store brand generics. Adhesion has been excellent. I totally recommend. FOLLOW UP (12/10/23) - Frustration with Adhesive Backing I am on my second box of 30. While I am still very satisfied with the effectiveness and convenience of these pads, I am frustrated by product inconsistency. Specifically, the plastic backing is sometimes difficult to remove, the adhesive is gooey and sticky, and as I peel the backing, the pad tends to fold in on itself and/or gets stretched out. This occurred on a few of the pads in the first box I bought, but most were fine. As I begin to use the second box, it has occurred on nearly every pad. This is frustrating and I have occasionally had to throw out a pad, or snip off a portion that had folded over and became unusable. As I read back over reviews, I have noticed that a lot of people have had this experience as well. That is disappointing. I will be reaching out to Wellspring, if they do not respond in this forum. 4/10/24 FOLLOW UP I did follow up with Wellspring at their number on the box. They were very responsive and sent me a new box of 30. I appreciate their responsiveness. Between the box of 30 I had just started using, and the box they sent me, I have had very few pads that peeled smoothly as designed. Most were sticky and stretched out as I tried to peel and apply them to my knee and ankle. I often cut the pad in half because I do not need a complete 3.9"x5.5" pad in either area. Either way, when applying the pad it tends to stretch from 1.5 to 2 times its length. I just put a complete 3.9x5.5 on my knee. Final size when applied was 2.9"x12". Unfortunately, I suspect, from both experience and others' reviews, that most of the other similar sized and priced pads sold here on Amazon are likely to have the same problem. Good pain relief but unreliable application and adhesion.

Worked well. Didn't have any issues with adhesive. Lasted about 12hrs. Will purchase again.

Great for muscle pain
It's great product to use and the price is awesome for the amount you get in the box.

Effective, affordable, consistent, long-lasting pain relief
These 4% lidocaine patches are effective in pain relief. I have spinal issues, along with inflammation, and I use 7-10 of them per week under doctor's supervision. Wellmate never disappoints me with the level of lidocaine in the patch, and they definitely last 12 hours. I consider this brand extremely effective, and when that is paired with the relatively low price (I look for the frequent sales and use Subscibe and Save), it's the best value for the money of the 5 different brands I have tried. I don't feel uncomfortable while I'm wearing them, and no one has ever mentioned an odor to me. That may be because they are thicker than many lidocaine patches. I do have one complaint. They are not very sticky, and in order to get them to stay on, I must use medical tape separate from the patches. This is a minimal added expense. (Search Amazon for "plastic medical tape", and you can buy in bulk to get the best deals.) Since I use lidocaine patches almost daily, adding tape isn't a big deal to me compared to the effective pain relief of Wellmate and the consistent and lasting amount of lidocaine used, combined with the affordability this company provides.

EDIT-they’ve gone and changed it. Jury is still out if it’s just as good
I’m a retired pharmacist and I have multiple back issues. I’ve used lidocaine patches for 20 years. These are the absolute BEST patch out there. I don’t understand people saying they’re thin, they are not. They are thicker than SalonPas which makes them easier to peel and apply. Some commented they’ll fold over on itself while applying- well they ALL do until you get the technique down. I apply them on my lumbar area and shoulder. But as you guess I cannot apply to mid back without assistance. I’m very impressed with this patch, I’ve not had one roll up nor slide off. And they’re cheaper!!! I’ve cancelled my Salonpas auto order now, only using these!! Edited review 3-6-2025 Well wellspring changed their manufacturing plant FROM India TO China and the product is terrible now. The product from India was flat, and stiffer. So easy to apply and even reposition if necessary. I got a new box from China today, I knew something was up because the box was over twice as big, yet the patch is folded inside. Now the product is flimsy, tends to easily stick to itself when applying and horribly gooey. I don’t think there would be anyway to adjust positioning once it’s on. I’ve applied one and I’ll see today if pain relief is adequate

I wish my doctor would have told me long ago. She gave me to sample of Salonpas. They worked, to too pricey. I found these and love them, works great and bigger patch then Salonpas.

It's Changed :(
I LOVED these so much- they adhered well to my skin and helped me sleep without back pain waking me. I just ordered a pack of 40, and they feel like a different patch. They're peeling apart differently. The patch isn't as stretchy anymore and it makes them feel smaller. Now they won't stay put on my lower back. I wake with a ball of patch wadded up on my lower back. I'm so disappointed. I found one of my patches from a previous pack, and it adheres much more securely than this pack. I don't know what's up, but something has changed, and not for the better.

they are a lega alternative to pain pathches that do not require a prescription
the patches are thin and hard to get on without help. They work, but they are hard to get on by yourself -my pain is in my shoulder and it takes help to get the patch on.
